My experience with Premier Bank has been less than satisfactory. If I could post this with no stars, I would do that but unfortunately you can't do that. I contacted the bank regarding a CD in my mother's name. My mom had passed away and I received information regarding the CD in the mail. After calling and speaking with the bank manager, I emailed him my mom's death certificate and the CD information. He then instructed verbally and through email that this would need to be processed through probate court. Following his instructions, I retained an attorney, spent 4 hours making trips back and forth between Ashland, used gas, and took time off work to handle this. Finally, with the court papers in hand, I am told at the bank that I don't need the court papers because this didn't need to go through probate. All they need is mom's death certificate and my ID. So, after another trip hope which is out of town, I return with mom's death certificate and my ID ... the bank writes a check to me and we're done ... almost! Next I have to get documentation to take back to the attorney to close the probate case. And, in the end I have an attorney bill for his work and the probate filing fee. How does this happen??? And, how do I get the bank to cover the bill? Any help would be appreciated. The bank had all the information they needed yet sent me on an expensive time-consuming goose chase! Not happy! Not happy at all!

I had a good experience with my first loan, but my second time wasn't clear-cut. I was given an unbelievable monthly quote for my mortage that couldn't be backed up when it was show time ($22,000 difference over a 30-year period). The quote was given to win my over a competitor. May have been a genuine mistake, but still a concern I wanted to share in case it happens again to someone else.

Don't choose this bank, inadvertently left my ATM card in their machine and their first order of business next day was to shred it "because I wasn't a customer"! Realized my mistake and tried to retrieve it next day, but it was gone. Their reasons for this just don't hold water, the ATM (not credit or debit) card had my name on it for Pete sake! Manager I spoke to was very rude as well and couldn't even get her own story straight - tried to tell me that my card may have been pulled per my own bank, and then admitted that I had just left it in the machine and driven off without it! Don't bother with them.
