I absolutely love banking at Serve Credit Union (regardless of what the name is)! I have lived out of state for a few years now and primarily have to use the shared branch feature, but it is always a treat when I get to talk to someone from my home credit union. My issues are always handled quickly, professionally, and with a friendly attitude. I could move halfway around the world and would never give up my account here!

I just switched to this wonderful credit union and am pleased to be a member to a credit union that serves the people that keep this community and state safe, it really makes me feel even prouder for what I do for my community. They even stayed passed closing to make sure things were done after switching over from another credit union. I am proud to be with a credit union that knows the value of there members and the noble work we do.

I have never been more happy with a bank since making the switch. Honest, upfront answers is was I appreciate. And Most always willing to help. Shelby is probably one of the hardest workers and kindest people I have worked with on loans.

What a GREAT credit union! I just made the switch a few weeks ago from a bank to this credit union and I am extremely satisfied. The staff are attentive yet professional, the rates are more than competitive, and they really know how to treat their members. Ron helped me with a loan, the process was simple, clear, and straightforward, everything I was hoping for!

I have been a member of the Des Moines Police Officer's Credit union for 3 decades. It is a wonderful organization established in 1931 by Des Moines Police Officer's for the benefit of Des Moines Police officers.
Tonight, at our union meeting, we were informed by David Ness that our credit union is changing it's name to "serve"
This decision caught every officer both current and retired by surprise. This decision was apparently made by the board of directors in secret without the input from members.
I take pride in our credit union's name and 86 year history. (I am old enough to remember small loans being made out of a shoe box in the broom closet the credit union called an office)
Please take a moment to contact "serve" and demand the board of directors change the name back.
This supposed to be a credit union by and for its members. If not, it has become just another bank and it may be time for me to take my business elsewhere. I hope it does not come to that.

I used to love the staff and have a friendly relationship with them. However trying to resolve an issue with Delaney turned into a very unpleasant experience. She has no problem being condescending and rude on the phone, however when I brought her the paperwork she requested she had no problem sitting in her office and ignoring me while using a front desk member of staff as a go between for communication. I wasn’t rude on the phone and did what was asked of me. I also didn’t realize it was okay to freeze peoples accounts at their own discretion. Delaney has always been a very unpleasant person to deal with and could use a refresher on people skills. I plan on leaving this institution as soon as possible.

11/29 Have yet to find a resolution for deposit issues from my paycheck. Its been nearly two years getting the same deposit and since they updated system’s payroll has constant issues and every time I call I either get someone new who lacks training or a completely different answer from before.
Mobile app seems to ALWAYS have some type of issue. I should be able to log in or use my app even at 4am. Very frustrating not having anyone available on weekends too

App still only works on very rare occasions. Whats the point of offering a mobile apo that NEVER works of you aren’t going to have staff who can help after hours or weekends!
Get it together
Only reason I stay here is because of my car loan

I have been a member of this credit union for almost 40 years and customer service has decreased exponentially over time. It is absolutely impossible to get anyone physically on the phone. Each time I call I am directed to a call center and if I am lucky enough to reach the banks physical location I am promised a call back that never happens. There are constant tech errors that don't allow me transfer money between linked accounts and my auto pay (set up by the credit union for loans) is continually not working properly. THE WORST. Take you money somewhere that cares enough to staff to levels that allow for answering calls.
