I took some cordless dewalt saws in to sell. They tried to low ball the price by sourcing list prices for different tools.
They offered $50 dollars on a 400.00 (dcs577 dewalt saw with battery and charger) claiming that the list price was 270. They offered $35 on a saw that lists for $259 (DCS391 dewalt saw with battery and charger) by pricing a raw tool at $129.
When I tried to explain the obvious error I was told that they use the model numbers . Well, that is fine except when the picture of the tool and specifications are not is not remotely similar.
If it was incompetence or an attempt at deception I do not know. It seems like to me that instead of trying to convince the seller of a charade, the more business like thing to do is make an offer to be accepted or denied.
I left there feeling offended that someone believed that I would be susceptible to such an obvious attempt at deception.
Seller beware!

I personally have always had a great experience at Lincolnway Pawn. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, even go the extra mile to be thorough for the customer. I’ve never been “ low balled” for any item I’ve taken a loan out on either. The price offered at very worst has been fair. I do believe the key here is establishing a positive buyer seller rapport, I noticed after a few times of repaying my loan on time and reclaiming my property, they were eager to offer me a higher loan amount the next time I needed it. I’m not sure if anyone else can say the same to be true for them but I’ve been doing business with them for 3-4 years now and never had a bad experience. Their in-store earned credits incentive is probably my favorite part about Lincolnway. Hell yes I’d like to shop for free just for fulfilling my financial obligations anyway, thanks very much :)

I was here for approx., half hour give or take, most of that time I was at the gun cabinet wanting to check out a few pieces and I never even was acknowledge by an employee much less was I able to ponder a purchase. Oh well their loss. I'll look elsewhere but I was really liking that 9mm.

They will pay you out a loan for a pawned item, then not call you when it is ready to be pulled, they told me last time I payed I had till the 26th of September to pay on it before it's pulled.... And here I am on the 25th and they told me it was pulled yesterday. They said I should've received a call about it the day before it's pulled... Didn't receive a call, looked in my call log and sure enough... No call, they are crooks, and liars, and a waste of time, just go to city national pawn.

If there was less than one star, I would use it. City National gives more money than Lincolnway for a PS3. They have this book they look through to give the price. City National goes by eBay and other recourses. My husband only got $25 for a PS3 that nowadays can cost almost $200 if not more depending on where you go. Not to mention, they only take American made tools and don't even consider RC cars because "they desintegrate." Even though the usually don't and can't. And they wonder why they don't get the business they used to. Well Gee. Let's do the math here. Not to mention the only reason that they are open is BECAUSE OF THE LIQUOR STORE. Before you buy liquor there, remember that they are connected to the pawn shop.

Everything is priced at retail, above retail, or 90% of retail. They also have no idea what they're doing with buys, at least not with watches. Meanwhile the City National a few blocks away is a great place to be. That is, if you like pawn shops instead of scam dens.
