We went to this location in South Charleston to have paperwork notarized and update some account information and deposit money. Because we were getting paperwork notarized and updating some bank accounts we had to wait for the branch manager who is the only person at this location who could do the requested services. Sitting in the waiting room at her office door open we were clearly able to hear someone getting help for over an hour on changing their password on the pioneer app. Yes I said that, I’m baffled as well
So we waited patiently or semi-patiently and when it was our turn I asked the branch manager if it’s common for a branch manager to help someone update a password on their mobile app? She said she was the only person at the place that could help her. Now keep in mind this is the branch manager of the location. If they were more efficient there they would have higher ratings.

I had purchased a new car in 2017 and was wanting to refinance it. Everybody kept telling me to go to West Virginia Pioneer Federal Credit Union, open a savings account and then I could talk to them about refinancing my car. The day that I walked in that bank and opened a savings account everything changed for the better. I ended up that day transferring all my banking from City National to West Virginia Pioneer Federal Credit Union and that was the best decision that I have ever made. They have helped me in so many ways. I can actually say that this is the first time II have ever felt comfortable with a bank. Knowing whatever problem I may encounter (believe me, I have had a few), they will and have gone above and beyond to help me in every way.

This bank is very discourteous to their customers. I have banked there for years and had just recently paid off the balance on a credit card with them. Afterwards, I charged about $50 on the card and had forgotten that I used it again. They called me to ask if it was an oversight and offered to take money from my account to make my payment, along with a $30 late fee. I agreed, even though I have never been late on this credit card payment before. I received a new statement a couple of days after her call, showing I was late, yet there was no late charge billed. So I decided to go in and show them the new statement, reflecting no late charge, even though I was already late at that point, and ask them to waive the fee she had already taken out. They informed me I had been charged a $25 late charge (the lady that called said it would be $30) after that statement came out, and adamantly refused to waive it.

Tried to close my account today because I’m not impressed with this bank at all. They are refusing to close my account because of pending transactions which when i looked it up it’s been deducted already. This bank has made everything difficult. It’s always something with them and not once have I been happy with this bank. It’s not about the customers! My husband banks with WV FCU and everything has been great. Time for me to change banks!
