This is exactly why I do not use Wepco Bank any longer.
First off, their employees are rude, and clearly have no idea how to do anything outside of counting money. If you have anything besides a checking and savings account, I would NOT suggest coming here. They use FICO credit score, and its almost always one of the lowest scores. Not to mention, they are not familiar with their own policies.
I paid 40$ extra on my loan for "insurance" because I had a lapse in coverage last year. It didn't start until I received insurance, and they refused to let me cancel the policy. Now, the entire time I have been told that A) I would have to pay the policy until December, for an entire year. and B) I would receive a refund of the money I have paid in since I have insurance already.
I went ahead and used a personal loan from First United to pay off the loan at Wepco, this way I would no longer have to deal with them and my interest would be a way better percentage.
Because I paid off the loan, they refuse to give me a refund. And they are saying I received a refund in December 2018, even though as far as I know, that's when the policy started.
How can I receive a refund for something I haven't paid yet.
Tell me that isn't crooked in every way, shape, and form. I have called multiple times, for months and only in the last month did I receive six different answers as to what is going on.
Not to even mention they tried giving me an 18% interest rate on a personal loan, while First United gave me 7%. I understand that they are a Credit Union, and all the money they have is other peoples. But this is ridiculous. I paid extra for six months, for absolutely no reason at all. I could not cancel the policy. I have been told since day one I would receive my money back as long as a lapse in coverage did not occur.
And here we are, being screwed over again by a big company. I have so much money out there that Im "supposed to receive back" and I am damn mad about it...

I was originally a customer of Potomac FCU. Wepco inherited me when they merged. I can honestly say, the transition went amazing. I wasn't stressed or upset over it. I visited the Keyser Office Saturday and the teller was helpful. Brandy the Branch Manager helped me out Monday and I can truly say, Brandy was attentive, friendly, compassionate and very knowledgeable. Her employees are also very nice and knowledgeable as well. Teller 0149 at the drive thru was welcoming and took care of our transaction in a timely manner and said Hello and Have a great day. Potomac FCU on Paca Street was totally opposite. There drive thru (older woman) was very unwelcoming and when we said have a good day, no response silence. Paca St, In my opinion some tellers not all should take a page from Keyser Branch and learn customer service.

2 stars because I love Wepco as a bank, but the Keyser branch never answers their phone. Was on hold for 27 minutes and never got to talk to anyone there. Called Lavale and got an answer and all my business concluded in 1 minute and 4 seconds.
Do better.
