My debit card was hit with a fraudulent purchase, which prompted the fraud department to swiftly cancel my card and contact me (which is appreciated). I have been waiting for a new debit card for over a month, and every time I call to ask for an update on my new card (since they usually only take 7-10 business days to arrive), they can only tell me that they're having delays and my card should be mailed out any day now. I have been patiently waiting for a new card over 4 weeks. FOUR WEEKS WITHOUT ACCESS TO MY MONEY since I'm not near any branch currently. Never have I had to wait this long for a new debit card at any banking institution. What a wonderful way to start the holiday season!
SCCU's customer service has severely declined. My satisfaction with them over the past month has plummeted.

I've banked with SCCU for a little under 5 years, have had quick assistence over the phone with the few issues I have had.
My only gripe is the unreliability of the app for online banking. 9/10 it works as well as you'd want it to, though I have had the occasional issue where the app constantly crashes between the initial startup and log in screen. This eventually goes away, but given the randomness of this there will likely be a time in the future where it'll cause some serious issues personally.
I don't go into the bank often, though my experience with the tellers has been lukewarm. Working in customer service I can understand being stressed and short with customers at times, it doesn't justify it though. A fake smile's better than no smile.
Overall a good bank from my experience. Some issues with their app, though I am unsure how universal this is.

8-10-22 they took away slips & added the fact that you have to send in your I.D. every single time to make a withdrawal. Why? For confidentiality... I'm giving a random person my I.D. that has my address, full name & Drivers license number on it... How's that confidential. Should just get a photo of yourself on their pc that they look at to confirm its you. Because The fact that you have to send them your ID and then they send it back and you have to sign something and then you have to send it back and then they send you your money finally after 10 freaking minutes I'm giving it one star.

Closed my account after 10+ years of service with lovely SCCU. I’ve heard absolute horror stories from other friends and family who’ve banked with them who have gotten completely screwed over. I figured nothing has happened to me personally so I’ll continue to bank with them…..WELL, I was wrong. My credit will now be dinked due to a 33.67$ charge off that not one employee cared to share with me while I was in at least ONCE a week. Extremely rude tellers and impatient staff were displeased to tell me after paying the write off I can reapply for an account!! HA! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I learned my lesson the hard way.

I have had an account at SCCU since I was 10 years old. I never had issues with the place till I got my first job at 15 years old. That is when the issue started. I have had my card frozen for a fraudulent purchase which was me trying to buy gas in Rice Lake... I was on my way home from a trip that was 4 hours away and spent hundreds of dollars on that trip but somehow when I bought gas in Rice Lake and only spent $30 they flagged it. I then have to call and sit on hold for hours to get my card reactivated. There have been many issues that have happened since then. Just today I made an online purchase from an online store and within thirty minutes my card was closed due to fraudulent activities. I get they are trying to protect me but the purchase was not out of the ordinary and should not have been flagged. My last complain with this bank is the amount of times they remodel. I know it sounds crazy but they are remodeling the exterior or the bank.....WHY! you did it less than two years ago. It seems that almost every 18 months they are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars remodeling. Maybe spend that money on making everything else about your bank better.... Bank is 3/10 would not recommend.

I was laid off from work, I asked the bank to shut my account down but they said I had to pay the negative balance which was just there over draft fees. They refused to shut down the account my overdraft fees accumulated to $1100 then they took my wife’s paycheck. To this point they refuse to close the account. I no longer have access to this account so I have no idea what the balance is now. I’ve contacted my creditors to remove that bank. How can this be legal? Why do they kick so hard when you’re down? Corruption beyond words. Why is t there negative stars?

After my complaint about rude service an rudeness at the drive thru b4 construction again, it was mb a week later I was treated like gold, everything went well an was explained things I had questions about from b4, u need time u need patience with people if at a business or not. U don't get everything u want right now this min, take some time to look over ur stuff or paper work. This bank is a good bank, if u don't think so then u have other banks to go to. Stop blaming the bank cuz u don't have the time or patience to wait. That's rediculas, goto a different bank if u don't like the service. Good job sccu an thank you.
