Sadly this is the third time I've went to the Rhinelander branch of Associated Bank and waited literally 20+ minutes in the drive thru for the current customer to finish their transaction. With 2 other cars ahead of me I could not continue waiting. Either the staff inside are conducting very lengthy personal banking transactions for some customers or the staff is very incompetent and not very good at their job. Either way, they clearly do not understand the point of being expedient and efficient in a "drive thru" service.
This extremely low level of customer service is just unacceptable.

I have an 401k through them. I needed something notarized during the first phase of reopening in 2020. They said “no problem, do have a banking account with us?” I told them I had a 401k, but not a banking account. They then told me that I couldn’t see a notary. Hmmmmm. I need a notarization pertaining to an action regarding my 401k through your bank, and you can’t help me because I don’t have a checking account. That’s a terrible policy and I have and will continue to dissuade people using this bank.

I went in to set up an account and they did not have time. Told me in the morning that I would have to schedule an appointment for another day. Called a few days later and they said the same thing. Guess where I don't bank.
