If you need a loan for anything I would NOT go through Park City Credit Union. Most of the employees I spoke with, so far, have been very enjoyable to work with. On the other hand, my bad experience with a couple employees will lose them my business. Sadly, after those couple people's unwillingness to try and resolve the issue at hand, they made it clear that my business does not matter to them. In fact, they made me feel like I don't matter! LOL
Late last July I went through a 3rd party for a loan on a snowmobile. A few months later (actually three) a lady from Park City called asking me if I had insurance and if I can show proof of it. She told me if I don't I will get forced to pay a premium amount through an insurance company they pick. I didn't know this as I was going to put insurance on it come time to ride. I hastily got the insurance, called back, and sent them the policy on their website. A month later, I received a letter stating what they are charging me for a forced premium insurance! I called and got the mistake, or lack of due diligence, straightened out about the insurance, but the woman I spoke with said that I will still have to pay that premium insurance for the months I did not have insurance??
I have spoken to at least four different people from Park City about this, all of which said I need to speak with someone else to resolve the issue. I was getting sent back and forth through the same departments. Two of the employees I spoke with were very pleasant. The person I spoke with in my initial call and the last person I spoke with, Lindsey, the VP of Loan Processing was not. She tried telling me they have had insurance on the snowmobile since I bought it and I have to pay it back! What?? LOL. I did ask to speak to her boss but she said he was not in but will have him call. And...what do ya know....no call back. I called and left a message with the COO and the Merrill branch manager. I haven't received a call back yet, but they might be too busy for a small timer like myself.
I did Google this loan/insurance procedure, and found out it is legal for the bank to back date the forced insurance, but it is also considered bad practice by many financial institutions and a borderline scam. I also established that banks that follow this racket win because of kickbacks from expensive insurers, many of which are based overseas and less regulated than US insurers. Also, some banks force placing the overpriced insurance premiums on the consumer through their own affiliated insurance companies. Now that's a win they can take to the bank!! Ugh....

This credit union doesn’t look out for their member . Had a glitch with a payment was ten from incorrect account and instead of rejecting payment which we have not used this account in months due to lack of customer and member friendliness they allowed the charge and gave us $50 in fee’s . They don’t even reach out to never by phone they send a letter . Now I have to take time off from my job just to go deal with this and close my account because their hours are not opening during my schedule because I have to be there and my husband can’t just close it They don’t look out or care about their members at all feels just like another commercial bank and was the reason I went with them they were to be different t .

Needed to find a local bank since I recently moved to the area.
My current bank had been a credit union, and I loved them, so I knew I wanted to go with another credit union.
I have had nationally owned bank accounts and credit union accounts over the years. I have never bounced a check, I have never left a bank account in the red upon closing it, and have not overdrafted my accounts in over 20 years. I have been an exemplary bank customer.
Admittedly with the pandemic, my credit ended up tanking from great to poor. I recently paid off all of my debts just before applying for an account with Park City. Which they could have clearly seen, as all these paid items were already showing as paid on my credit report.
Park City doesn’t tell you that they require a certain credit score in order to have a regular checking account with them. They tried to offer me essentially a training checking account that I’d have to pay a monthly fee for and that I couldn’t write checks from. I was baffled. I have never been denied a checking account, and certainly never been offered a “training” account, even when I was 16 and opening my first account with Chase bank!
I could understand them looking at my credit score and denying me on a loan, but I found this to be ridiculous.
Park City will not have my business. They will not get to hold my savings, accept my direct deposits, or now that my credit is back up to good status, I will not inquire on any future loans (auto, mortgage, etc) should I ever be in the market for one.
I went with CoVantage, who was more than happy to be my bank, and where I am allowed to write checks from a normal account.

We set up my son's first checking account today. Ann explained everything to him in a way that a 15-year old could understand. He asked a few questions for clarification on a few of the details of his new account and Ann made sure he understood everything before we left her office.

After notifying Park City TWICE that we would be traveling in Europe our debit card is frozen after several days of use, even though there is a substantial amount of funds in our account. Inconvenient, scary and embarrasing don't begin to cover this!

Fast easy service. No trips to Credit Union or waiting. Sara made sure to find me the best rate for the loan. She explained everything perfectly. No bank can compare to a Credit Union. I also know they are secure and will NOT be sold or bought out. That is peace of mind! Thank you Sara and Thank You Park City Credit Union!

My husband and I have been banking here for years. We love the technology. Being able to direct deposit our checks and setting up on line all our payments. Gives us the control over our finances.
Also love that we can add life and disability insurance to all our consumer loans. Had to use it a few times. Having those payments made for us was a blessing. Took the stress off while recouping back to health.
