We have had vehicle loan with them for 2 months and it has been a miserable experience so far. The only good thing has been a decent interest rate. I can't set up an account to pay the bill, only my husband can even though I am on the loan, and they keep saying our insurance is lapsed no matter how many binders or letters we send them from our insurance company. They even went so far as to have themselves removed as the lienholder and then add themselves back on the same day just so they could add an insurance cancelation notice to our account. I am keeping all the screenshots and documentation of everything in case this ends up in court. I recommend anybody steer clear of this place.

Car loan through this credit union has been a hassle. Paid off vehicle early, so had extra monies owed to me. Closed account and they mailed check. Check got lost in mail, then they require stop payment form to be filled out AND notarized, which costs money. It's been 3 months and still haven't received title. Checked with DOT, they've no record of payment in full/release of title. Every time I call, whoever answers the phone has this millennial whiney voice as if they hate life and aren't there to serve their customer.

I banked with Peninsula for years.
When they decided to shut down on Saturdays, I think it was very inconvenient for me to bank there.
So I went in ine day and closed my account....
Still received statements and charges.....
Called up and closed my account and received mire statements......
I finally received a letter( Notice of Adverse Action)
They closed my account for poor checking......
I think that the employees should have followed through with their job in the first place and I should have never received this letter.
Peninsula Credit Union is a very bad banking institution as far as I can tell you.

I've had an account since October, I haven't had any issues or complaints. Staff members are always very friendly. Kris set up my accounts, he was very polite and helpful. The only issues I've had, were setting up online banking and getting charged once for a paper statement when I signed up for e-statements. It was fixed promptly, though. I am happy with Peninsula CU and will continue to bank with them.

My partner had a terrible experience with them today. She went in to cash her disability check as she had done the few previous months and was told they could not cash it because it said my name for her name. Now, if they had been apologetic and said it had been mistakenly cashed in the past and they understand how frustrating and inconvenient it must be and let’s see if we can figure this out … that would have been fine, even if the conclusion was that they could not cash it as is. Instead, she was treated rudely and with suspicion by both the teller and the manager and given very little information about what was going on. For example, the teller initially closed down her station and walked away with no explanation of what the concern was. The manager was similarly rude to her and she was made to feel at every step not that they were trying to help her but that they were investigating her, down to requiring to make a copy of the check they would not cash prior to returning it to her. The nature of her disability means that even an outing to the grocery store and bank takes a lot out of her but it still gives her a little feeling of normalcy. Instead she was treated as if she was doing something shady when she was just trying to cash her check. One of the appeals of a local credit union is that you will be treated well, as an individual and a valued community member, but was the worst banking experience of her life.
