After our former bank no longer wanted HSA accounts and sent our funds out of state we search for a new bank in VT. I called Union Bank in St. Albans. The branch manager, Eric was happy to assist. We are happy to be Union Bank customers! Thank you Eric for making it easy. ✅ done.

If I could have given 0 stars, I would have, they don't deserve the 1! My mother put her money into a revocable trust with this bank. At one point she needed help managing it. They made so many mistakes during the whole process, it has taken me 3 years to fix it, and two trips to probate court, because things were not done correctly or done at all.
The bank person who managed the trust department was very unprofessional, treated us badly when we tried to find out why all the mistakes were being made. My favorite was when I got a letter from Social Security telling me that Mom's Social Security direct deposit paperwork was not sent in for this new trust. The other one was when probate contacted me, to let us know there was going to be a hearing, because probate never received the paperwork from the bank. This was almost a year later. I contacted the bank, and they denied knowing about the mistakes. They also didn't do anything about it. I had to! It was there job, not ours.
Enter at your own risk! I am sure some people have had marginally satisfactory experiences, but I wouldn't take my chances. I tried talking to another supervisor, but found out that the person that treated us so badly was the supervisor of that department. Been there done that!! I was treated so badly there, that I have not recommended this bank to anyone since. If you need to have a trust managed for you, RUN from this bank!!!! Run the stop sign, and go directly to another bank!!! Better yet, do your research first.

Union Bank is the best bank in the area! The staff is wonderful and helpful. If you're looking for a new bank (need to change or moving to area) this is the place you WANT to go to.

A joke of a bank with terrible services. The internet app barely works and is always changing or updating. They charge you 15 dollars for a new debit card that's not working properly and say "if you kept it in the white paper sleeve it would still work" sorry not all of sit behind a counter at a bank all day and actually work. Just terrible service all around, inside and over the phone. I had an account for 12 years and finally closed it after trying to charge me 15 dollars for a piece of plastic....

ZERO STARS:
I've had an account with union for over 10yrs today they absolutely ruined my opinion of the franchise. I had a duplicate pre payment taken out of my account while it was still in pending status I asked them to cancel the charge. They said we can only stop charges on checks (my account is virtual checking so you pretty much are blowing me off for accepting an account you offer) so apperantly even with a dispute claim they are going to go ahead and over pay a company I no longer even use. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed with today's lack of help. I will immediately be moving my accounts to New England Federal credit union who are happy and helpful tellers and managers. 100% will never recommend using this establishment to anyone. As an Administrative Assistant myself I just can't see how this is allowable at all, if someone asks to cancel a charge that hasn't even posted you do it. It is not your money or place to choose if it is fraudulent or a double payment you respect your clients wishes and requests for their money.
