Kayla Hons tried her “very best” to help me refinance my loan... AFTER i convinced her to run my credit score again. I had some pending payments I was waiting to clear, she was aware but ran my score BEFORE they cleared even though she told me she would wait. Since the score was not good she dismissed me and told me to work on it. Gave me advice even though I had already taken those steps. AFTER she confirmed the score was sooo much better she was all in! After 2 months of constantly asking for documents, the closing date finally came, I paid $1,000 to upgrade my home insurance per their request, $750 to get an appraisal on my house. The title company info was sent to me, with time and location. My husband took off work, and all for nothing. The morning of, Kayla called me and informed me that the underwriting team did not approve my loan, because of how my husbands employer worded his verification letter. When I told her I was not happy about having to pay $1,750 for a refinance that did not go through, she said “well I just did all this work and I’m not getting paid either” . I guess I was her only customer in these 2 months and she does not count her base pay as income?
It’s interesting how I do not make enough to refinance my $1,000 mortgage to $1,500, but was made to pay $1,750 in one month. For no reason. Then when I finally saw my appraisal, I was told I over paid for the appraisal and a whole $19 would be refunded but I found out that the fee was only $500 not $750. And only after I brought it to Kendra Bills, the Mortgage Loan Processor, attention did that $19 magically turn to $250. Kendra also does not know the difference between reply and reply all on an email. For instance, she talked about me to Kayla instead of to me. This was a huge waist of time and money. I will definitely never recommend this bank & I will be switching.

I have fees that can’t be explained however i recognize the bank is expanding to support a growing community and even though some things have been onerous to say the least, they have come through and made things right.

Very nice people. And they don't charge yet for cashing one of their own checks like other banks are starting to do. They were very helpful in opening my account and everytime I call they are so nice and helpful. I would recommend them for sure.
