Truly the worst bank I’ve ever used. They just pile on their predatory overdraft charges one after the other. I’ve had pending deposits and they seem to make sure to put through every pending charge first so they can overdraft you more. I’ve changed over to Ch*me and they have no fees. Don’t bother with one of your generic replies TDECU, I’m done with you. I will be closing my account.

This bank is actually horrible. I’ve regretfully banked here for 3 years. I’ve deposited many of my paychecks over that time span and on random occasions my checks get put on hold. For no reason at all! I’ve called up there a few times to ask why and they literally just tell me it’s on hold. No reason whatsoever, it’s just on hold. Huh?!? Please save yourself and don’t ever consider using this credit union, it’ll save your time, your well being, and your brain cells.

Avoid this place. I’m amending my review today 12/27/22. Over the past couple of weeks I had to handle a couple of transactions that required me to call in for assistance. Wait times are still very long and to make matters worse they gave out bad information that would have resulted in killing my car sale. I called to confirm everything and was told they received the wire transfer but we’re going to reject it. I was on the phone for over an hour and ended up driving to the lake jackson office where, while on hold, I was able to finally get someone to address the issue. While the disaster was avoided the experience was completely unacceptable. They hung up on me or mishandled the call multiple times and never called me back. This resulted in me sitting through multiple trips through the phone teee to get to the correct party. If I could give less than one star I would.
As a member for over 30 years I’ve watched the level of service at TDECU steadily decline. Now it’s to the point where calls about ordinary things will tie up 30-45 minutes of your day. Most of this time is spent listening to the obligatory 3 minutes advertisements that preempts EVERY call followed by more ads while you’re on held hostage on hold. Someone in TDECU management should be required to call in and audit the member experience.

Once again ... let down by TDECU refinancing. They are eager to offer only lending that is only benefit to them ... never willing to help with your future financial goals. My present loan will be the last time to deal with TDECU ... not the same as it was years ago!

Don't expect to feel like a valued member if you choose to bank here. The service has gone downhill and members are just numbers. Find a credit union in your area that still believes in "people helping people" or do yourself a favor and bank with Chase or Wells Fargo because at least their technology works and employee expertise is better there.

I recently bought a brand new 2023 Chevy Tahoe. TDECU was who financed my husband and I when the dealership ran our credit scores. I wish I would have **DECLINED** TDECU and went with a different finance company with the **HIGHER** interest rate!!! THAT SAYS A LOT!!! I have had hell getting someone on the phone. This week I received the first statement, and the statement had instructions on how to create an online login to make payments. I have followed every step, and still cannot get logged in (even after making several phone calls). Every single person that we have talked to has given different information and has told me to call again the next business day if it still doesn't work! Not to mention the times I was able to get someone on the phone, they have a heavy accent and only give you three minutes to complete their questionnaire. THIS IS BEYOND FRUSTRATING AND ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Save yourself the headache, do your research, and *GO ELSEWHERE*!

After nine year multiple good loans 820 credit score and enough cash in my account to pay cash for it. I applied for a used car loan to but a second hand run around truck. I applied for the online loan which didn't ask a thing about the truck at all. All it wound up being was really a credit check. Then I called in from work to finally talk to a person 1/2 hour later I gave up put in for a call back when it came no one was on the line. I called back and told the person what happened they put me back on hold for onother half hour. Finally gave up and drove the the bank and waited there for help. When I was finally helped if you can call it that I sat down the person started putting in for the loan then all of a sudden pushed the quote from the dealer and my ID back across the desk and said they wouldn't do the loan because it had over 100k miles. .if they had asked on the online application a darn thing about the truck in the first place I wouldn't have had to deal with their poor customer service wasting my day dealing with them I have been in the same spot with other banks and they have made the loan into a personal loan for me this place offered nothing just shoved my stuff across the desk said sorry..The dealer gave me another credit unions name called them they are willing to do the loan but I have to join as a member and fund my accounts and I don't believe they have a branch in town
