I moved from California to Tennessee recently and after some time found work and opened a bank account.
when i opened the bank account they where kind and respectful, but their attitude's changed when they placed a hold on my first paycheck for 7 days which added to 14 days of being held as they where closed for thanksgiving and they have sundays off.
when i spoke to them about the hold at first they where helpful and, when i asked them if they could release my funds or a portion of it they refused and held my entire paycheck which i need for my family.
I spoke with another state which is in kentucky and they where respectful and went above and beyond by trying to help me and give me information to have my main branch release the funds for me and my family. i have a pregant wife and three kids i support and we needed my funds released.
when i brought the information back to the Oakridge branch in Tennessee i was rebuked and belittled and was told i would not receive help getting my funds.
i took the matter up with the number on the back of my card and now am receiving better support, but the customer service at the Oak ridge branch is lacking and needs to be noted.
if i receive more disrespect and my finances being taken hostage i will be looking for a new banking institute.

This particular branch has to be the slowest one I have ever been to. I came on my lunch break and it took every bit of my break and then some to cash a check. There was only one person in line in front of me, they took 10 minutes. Finally pull up and they tell me that it will be a “few” minutes until they get to me. It was way longer than a few. Unfortunately I work business hours so during my break is when I have to come here. Guess I’ll pack a lunch next time.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE company. I planned a trip to California and spoke with Truist BEFORE I left about being able to use my debit without the fraud alerts they LOVE to place on my card. Was told everything would be fine. Get out to California and within one week my card was shut down due to……FRAUD ALERT! If it weren’t for my father wiring me money I would have been stranded and sleeping in my car. Fast forward to today I get yet another fraud alert saying somebody tried to use my card at a local gas station. The card is in my freaking wallet. Card deactivated yet again and the local Truist is closed so guess what? Once again no access to my money until Monday. This company is a sham.
