Discovery Federal Credit Union has been a blessing to me. I have been with them for years! I am never changing my bank. I’ll hold onto more than one bank but I am not leaving this one. They gave so many people I know opportunities. The tellers remember your name. It’s just so personable. I rarely have any issues and when I do it’s fixed immediately.

Had money stolen online approximately $990, they only gave me back $440 and refused to give me the rest. It was Jennifer who gave me a hard time with that and was dealing with the situation in the middle of the lobby which was embarrassing. Then to add to that they wouldn’t let me sign into my account and were trying to force me to get my phone scrubbed. That was Paula who who was trying to force me to do that on top of her horrible attitude. Now I can neither check my balance online or get my $550 back… terrible bank do not sign up here. My sister money stolen as well so I think there was a breach in their security which they didn’t tell anyone about. Awful bank, smh.

After 13 years 8 months of having a credit card through Discovery FCU, I called to have a new card sent due to it being stolen. Instead of doing this, they accidentally closed my account. I called back to express that this was not what was asked for but they said that there was nothing they could do about it having already closed it. Please note, this occurred in March 2020. Why am I writing a review now? This error Continues to effect me as it was the longest running account I had. My credit score & the history of credit took a massive hit. If it was just an accident that was a once and done oops, I’d have more understanding but the nature of this mistake was major.

I have been a member for years and never had a problem, until this week. I was notified by the fraud department that there were a number of questionable charges on my account. All charges were in fact fraud. My card was closed and I was told to contact the credit union directly to have a new card issued and to dispute the charges. Upon doing so, I have never felt so under valued as a customer. Since the charges were pending, I had to wait for them to post to my account, at which time I was told paperwork would be emailed to me to dispute the charges. I checked my account today and see everything posted so I called back, only to be told I have to contact the merchant and request a refund. I am a victim in this and I now have to set time aside to call a merchant (that has no phone # or customer care info) and request a refund to get my own money back. This is beyond acceptable.

I'd give them a 5 Star ++ rating! Other banks are very difficult to work with compared to them. I needed a home equity loan and other banks were difficult and wouldn't work with me. I contacted Discovery, was approved and closed in less than 2 weeks! Gretchen was great with excellent communication and very efficient! Don't go look anywhere else!

I have used Discovery Federal Credit Union for many years, both personally and professionally with my company. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of products, best-in-town loan rates and the amazing staff. The beautiful new renovations are the cherry on top. Great job Discovery FCU!

My wife has been a member here since way back to Western electric days! Never had problems always good to work with. Most recently purchased a new truck, was told by the dealer we were turned down for financing here. We were not happy & came in to find out why, spoke with Jen M who immediately went out of her way to find out we were actually approved! She then worked to get us refinanced to a lower rate. She made sure we were taken care of!! Whomever promoted her to management, deserves a well done! She's truly an asset to the credit union!!!

Discovery has been my bank since I can remember. The staff are always willing to help and are geared to providing superior customer service. I will also say their IT\Cyber department is second to none and truly do care about their customers security and safety. Don't hesitate in opening any account here.
