My debit card was deactivated on March 28th. I am yet to receive my new card which should have been sent 3 weeks ago. When I called and expressed my frustration, I was told to lower my voice or I was going to be hung up on.. I was hung up on 4 different times. I was also told I can buy a temp. Card for $5. The gaul to charge me for a temp card when mine has been sitting in the corporate office for 3 weeks now and I did nothing wrong is horrible. Do your bankingnelsewhere.

Worst experience at the main st Stroudsburg location. Zero customer service skills and very disrespectful staff. The staff at the Weis location was the same. Would not every recommend banking with them

Bank from the Stone Age. Avoid at all cost. Web site is riddled with errors, extremely limited features and so unreliable. Some of the customer representatives I've spoken to have been rude and frustrating to deal with.

Called the service center to remedy some issues and get clarity on some things. I spoke with "Connie". When asking questions and clarifying information she was giving me, I wasn't given any solution or remedy but told in so many words that I should "be more responsible and pay attention" with an indignant tone.
I have been satisfied with ESSA in every other way and am particularly happy with the folks at my local branch but such rude people working on the end of the phone who are supposed to be helpful and find solutions is unacceptable.

Maybe other folks have had a bad experience due to outdated technology, but I feel it must have been updated in the past 2 or 3 years. We have a mortgage and two accounts with them. The app sometimes can slow, but TD bank has the same issue; as I would assume with all bank apps.
If you live in the Pocono area, this is a very decent bank to do business with. 👌
