Hands down the highest customer service in the business! Personally as well as with our multiple businesses, we have accounts at three banks. None compare to the customer service at F&M Trust! Unfortunately, their rates are easily beaten by the competition; otherwise, we'd have all our eggs in one basket.

This is the result of the actual branch manager calling me back a few moments after I left a voicemail about the experience I had. She was COMPLETELY professional and actually had intended to go above and beyond the call of duty (by stopping by my office for me to sign the paperwork -- the paperwork that branch staff could not find -- I wish they had called Anne!).
After talking with Anne, I discovered that part of the problem was on my end -- I had only glanced at Anne's voicemail, and I did not pick up that she would bring the paperwork to me if I called her back. I just thought she was asking me to come in for a QUICK process.
This manager, Anne, is wonderful. Unfortunately, she was at another branch today.
The individual the teller told me was the manager was not wonderful. (Anne assured me that she will address the issues I raised with the bank staff member referenced below. I am sure that she will, and I did not and will not mention that individual's name in public -- only to Anne.)

Despite Anne's professionalism and prompt reply to my call, I can still only give two stars.
The staff member with whom I dealt was rude, and she belittled me. When I called her out on her rude behavior, she apologized -- but not well or authentically. She was either not listening to my reason for being there or she was not capable of handling my needs this afternoon.
Additionally, I'm not thrilled that F&M made its staff and me go through this exercise in order to maintain an account I have held in good standing for more than a quarter of a century.

Terrible experience! In order to keep my IOLTA account (that I have had since 1997), I was told that I had to open a new business account. This seems VERY wrong (based on past Ethics guidance), and I pushed back. Needless, the bank held firm, and I agreed to open the unneeded account so that I didn't have to open it somewhere else.
BIG MISTAKE!
First, they required me to create an unnecessary account.
Then, they hounded me to open it immediately (to keep them from closing my perfectly functional account). In order to "save time," I was asked to respond to multiple phone calls and emails so that the paperwork would be ready for me when I got to the back.
I have a big trip coming up in great than 2 days, but I didn't want this hanging over my head. So I went in after receiving a voicemail from a branch staff member telling me that my paperwork was ready.
After waiting 15 minutes (and behind two others who came in after me), I was finally seen by the only human in the building capable of opening an account.
Guess what? The paperwork was NOT ready. And the staff member didn't understand that I didn't want to open a new IOLTA account.
In fact, it wasn't until I showed her the voicemail from her colleague and the emails from another colleague.
I've been here for 45 minutes now. Hope to be finished soon.
DEFINITELY should have closed the account and opened a new one elsewhere!

The ladies at hte bank offered me excellent customer service time in and time out, just reinforcing why I continue to do my banking here. Love them.

The loan officer that I worked with at F&M Trust explained the mortgage process in terms that I fully understood and was very knowledgeable and professional.
