Long term second review.
I am just writing to follow up after about 3 years banking here.
Previously I traveled and lived internationally a lot, banking with Chase.
When I came home for good, Chase did a great job chasing me out the door ! with no free checking, some poor advice on choosing an account.
We felt a local credit union could serve our needs better, and sooth some of the serious mistrust I have of the big five crime families ( The five big banks...Wells Fargo, Chase...
Nearly three years later we are very happy with them.
First of all, they put up with me !

I am happy to say that as far as I recall none of the staff has changed, A few additions and all are very friendly and personable.
You can get face to face interaction with a person at the ATM when the branch is closed if needed. I get much better online connection speeds.
Some little hiccoughs when I have to do international stuff, but that is not their market.
We have never considered changing banks.

I have been a satisfied customer of HVCU for 20+ years and that's because all the bank employees are attentive and determined to assist me with all my financial banking needs. They are professional and courteous per my personal experiences throughout the years.
The Wappingers Falls branch in the Hollowbrook Plaza is in a convenient location with ample parking. Both the outdoor parking lot and the inside of HVCU is handicapped accessible.
I like that there's a coin machine that the other branches don't seem to have. It's so much easier to let the machine do the counting and the work for you. There's no need to put your coins in those denominational paper coin rolls anymore. Being able to have the total amount of money be put into your checking or savings account is more convenient.
There is an indoor and outdoor ATM so you can choose whatever suits your fancy.
I definitely recommend HVCU and all their available services.

Went into the lobby today. Was rudely told I had to stand on the 6 feet away sign on the floor which was over 20 feet from the person in front of me. The same person was standing 3 feet from a customer when I was on my way out. Very disrespectful.

This credit union is great
The staff are great , the service is good
And never had no issues at this branch
I definitely recommend you stop by this branch if you ever in the area.

When you call they are VERY rude and not kind. Many times they were like this. I like people and normally get along well with people. It appears to be in their training, hence corporate culture top to bottom. STAY AWAY unless you want the same treatment.
