My dad had a car loan that was financed through Hudson Heritage. He died back in late 2020 and Hudson Heritage was the only one of his debtors who harassed me through the mail and the court system for more than a year. In the beginning, they even demanded that I reinstate the insurance on his car per the terms of the loan or face a fee, however, they had the car in their possession and I'd already sent the plates to Albany to be destroyed. Also, they did a great job with serving "me" with papers that my mom signed for at an address I no longer lived at. My mom didn't even know what that package was until I asked, so I'm pretty sure I wasn't even legally served.
I know it was his debt and it needed to be paid but literally every one else - his two mortgage lenders, his solar panel loan lender, even his back taxes from NYS - all understood that there was no money until I was able to sell my dad's house, which wasn't up to me but the backlogged Orange County Surrogates Court. Everyone else had an iota of sympathy for the 25 year old daughter handling her sudden father's death and wildly unprepared mess of an estate, but not Hudson Heritage.
Hudson Heritage: they'll harass your loved ones if you dare to die with unpaid debt.

I worked with Dahlia at the Goshen office on a payment from GEICO that needed to go through HFCU before they could cut a check to my body shop. She was/is the consummate professional. Very helpful in explaining things and very spot on with details. She will be my "Go-To" person whenever I have to deal with HFCU!

I have been a client From herritage credit union for over 4 years. And I had no complaints At all until now i want to buy a house and since I have all my savings in this credit union I figure it would be better for me to apply for a mortgage loan here I been trying to reach Ericka Rodrigues because I guess she is the only bilingual agent or specialist. I been trying to get I touch with her for the last 5 months I sent her numerous messages with all my information no respond at all. It’s a shame. Yesterday I call my husbands credit union teg and they respond immediately and help us but I still want to shop around and see different options and different rates :(

Every time I tried to withdraw cash they gave me a hard time. They said I had to call ahead of time to withdraw $3,000...you can withdraw that from most ATM's. I called 3 days ahead to withdraw $15,000 and they said they could only do it in 20's, to which I said was fine. When I showed up at the Rykowski Lane branch they lied to me and said they didn't have it. After asking for a manager they agreed to give it to me, and miraculously had it in 100's. They also rudely asked me why I "couldn't just get a bank check". I've had accounts for over 5 years with six figures and never felt so disrespected. I closed my accounts today and will be going elsewhere.

I got a personal loan here. They said i had to make an account with there checking and saving to get a loan so i do. They say i have too put the money in the checking i do. I spend the money.. and forget about the account for a couple days it did what it had to do. i look at it today, neg 15 dollars a fee came out and put in a couple bucks neg and there charging me 5 bucks a day i've never had a bank that ran it self like a loan shark company..... don't waste your time with a bank with these old school sketchy bank practices!

I Had a phone interview with this bank for a position, the interviewer was outsourced from
South America. Fine. But they kept on disappearing after asking me questions. There would be 2-3 minutes of silence after I finished answering her question. I’d say hello and nothing, all kinds of background sound during the times the interviewer actually was present. After the 3rd prolonged silence break (again 2-3 mins) I just hung up.
I don’t understand why a local community credit union looking to hire good talent from their own community would outsource their hiring to other parts of the world. Just call me in to sit down for a in person interview at a branch!

This bank has by far the worst customer service, stay far away. Spent months trying to get a loan approved when they cancelled on my few days before. Manager was very rude
