OneMain Financial offered me the chance I needed to apply & get approved for a personal loan. The efforts of one particular employee made this happen with professionalism, intelligence, and respect and my loan, once I got approved, was explained to me with the right amount of language I understood combined common sense.
By keeping my interests first & foremost OneMain Financial acted more as a fiduciary rather than just an ordinary lender. At the end of my loan period my credit rating had not only reached the goal I set but went beyond. I was able to borrow again for a greater amount (keeping this real, of course) at a lower interest rate and with terms that are manageable insuring I keep my excellent credit rating secure.
OneMain Financial gave me the break I needed by giving me a chance to prove my credit worthiness and put my financial feet back on the ground. If you are looking for a personal loan I recommend you give them a similar chance too.
PS The one employee that gave me my chance is now the Asst Branch Manager with a branch of his own well within his grasp in the not-too-distant future!

Very horrible experience and customer service. I called to inquire about a loan I was told I needed certain documents in order to proceed with application process. Once i received them I had to call 2 days in a row to get in contact with the rep assisting me. I only wanted to provide my documents to get going with the application even if I had to wait my turn before others ahead of me. I uploaded all documents and was told to come in due to it being a secured loan with my vehicle on it. I tried to ask Matt if he could check for verification prior to my arrival to see if I qualified based off my income so I could avoid driving one hour to the office. Once I arrived to the office I didn’t qualify based off my income compared to my expenses. That’s not the problem, The problem is how unprofessional they were not helping me the best the could to avoid wasting my time! I took time off work for this. Matt was very incompetent and seemed new. I’ve had 2 accounts with one main in Florida prior and I’m pretty familiar how this works. I felt stereotyped and treated unfairly. I get how busy this industry maybe but if it’s too much for you, you should look for another career.

I had a message on my app saying I have to call them for some reason. I already have a loan with them. The guy on the phone was very rude, giving me attitude and when I told him he was being rude, he just said I can’t help you and hung up the phone on me. I’m dying to finish paying this loan with them and I’m not going to do business with them ever again.

He had done business with One Main Financial many times. I had pulled about 6 to 7 personal loans from 2012 to 2018, my last business with one main Financial WAS HORRIBLE, but I can't return to them because of personal dignity. I never had an overdue payment and paid off all the loans without a problem. Mark Fiori always assisted me. "Nice"... After my last loan request was approved in 2018, we set up an appointment at 4:00 pm, but I arrived 8 minutes late, the manager "was very rude... very arrogant the manager said without looking at me but looking down at his desk and said to Mark '" tell him ( to me) to come tomorrow if he wants" ... "very unprofessional" Humiliating. Ironically, today was looking for a 20000.0 loan. I tried online with AmONE, but AmONE linked me to One Main Financial. I didn't realize that was applying to One Main Financial. My mind wasn't focused on the names. my request for the loan was approved, but 5 years later, I still have the trauma from the bad treatment, and it can be proved that a company can lose good customers for bad services.

The process was very quick, simple and easy. Everyone I spoke to was courteous and thorough. It was a great experience overall. If I need to use them again in the future, I definitely would.

I have had the worst experience with this bank. After filling out everything online I got pre approved for a loan then I received a call from one of the agents at this bank, I was told to submit paperwork (which I did less then 10 min later) then I was told to call back to let them know everything was submitted, when I called back there was no answer mind you I was calling back at 2:30 pm they don’t close until 5:30 pm and now I have to wait until Tuesday to hear from one of the agents.
