I don’t know why but every time I go in here I get the same person and she is so rude to me. Seemed to be upset because I didn’t know you could call about mobile deposit instead of educating me she just continued to tell the other person about people not doing that. I work in customer service and this is poor. There’s no reason for people to be rude like this. There was plenty more during this interaction but I really do not want to open that can of worms. I left today feeling upset and a bit embarrassed. I moved here a few years ago and nowhere I have been has been good customer service. I mean if they want everyone to do everything digital and not go in then fine so be it. I really do like this bank and how my accounts work, but I really would love a change in staff that actually appreciate my business. I don’t want to feel anxious having to go to the bank for something. There’s already enough going on kindness is about all we have left.

I have never in my life experienced such awful customer service as I did with NRFCU. The amount of incompetence throughout organization is astounding. I was a new loan customer back in December and the process, since then, has been dreadful. I was unsure how to use the mobile banking, so I called to ask questions. The woman who was transferred to help me said "I am unfamiliar with our online system and can't help you" and hung up. I lost out on a deal with turning in my car because the loan officer "didn't know he had the paperwork on his desk". Switching credit unions completely was easier then dealing with the rude and uninformed staff. Every question I had couldn't be answered. Would absolutely never recommend.

I have been nothing but pleased with this credit union. I opened my account and everyone was so helpful, the clerks are always pleasant with smiles on their faces. They are involved in the community and sponsor food truck days and fund raise for different organizations. I have watched them expand and offer new things over the years. I do not feel like I am just a number on the corporate ledger, I am a person and I am treated individually with care. Thank you for breaking the banking mould!!

I’ve been with Niagara Regional FCU for about 11 years and I’ve been though good and bad times and they have always been able to come up with a way to help me though many situations.
Recently there has been changes that negatively affect the customer experience. My experiences in the past that I have overcame with this credit union will no longer be available today. They used to accommodate my needs and helped me succeed.
Now even though I have had dozens of loans though this credit union, not once have I been asked for a reference but Recently I applied for a loan and they REQUIRED a reference like I was a new guy off the street. 11 years of good faith and I would imagine my own credit union would know my financial creditworthiness.
If you’re looking for a credit union that is lookin at the future, this credit union will NOT accommodate apps that most financial institutions use that verify and/or transfer funds in or out of your account. This makes living in this digital era difficult. I have an online accounts though MISSION MONEY, COINBASE, AFFIRM, and my 401k retirement account EMPOWER retirement to name a few and I cannot access these accounts because NRFCU cannot be found on an app called PLAID that all these accounts I mentioned use for verifying your bank. All the other local credit unions and banks are enrolled in PLAID.
If your looking for a credit union, do ur research and I hope my experiences help you choose one that’s right for you.
