As a college student, I hadn't had to navigate opening a new bank account before. I was helped by Mr. McKenzie who was so friendly and helpful! He even stayed after close to help me get the account open! Wonderful service and a experience. Can't wait to he a KeyBank customer for years to come!

Just recently arrived at this branch and was denied notary services even though a Notary Public was present. It was expressed that it was because I was a non-customer. A Notary Public is supposed to serve the public by law. It is unlawful to deny U.S. citizens services due to discriminating against non-customers, as supported by Article I-A-4 of The Notary Public Code of Professional Responsibility. The document that was to be addressed was not considered or viewed even partially in the matter. Very disappointed as this event has delayed finance-related plans, especially since time was taken to place a phone call several hours earlier in the day to illustrate the appointment.

We had a pretty sad experience with Key. Originally, I was excited to start banking with a larger reaching bank for the area. I thought it would compliment our more local banking. Key was enthusiastic to bring us on board. They sold us on their travel friendly banking and investment advice. It's true their customer service in the branch is generally good and these staff are well trained. However, the good service all ended when I needed support from beyond the branch, when my card was fraudulently used while traveling. When we returned from Mexico, I spotted a suspicious charge. I identified it immediately and reported it. I've had a few instances like this with a few different banks. The resolution has always been straight forward. Not with Key. Their fraud team refused to resolve the dispute. They accused me of providing contradicting information. They sandbagged communication. They promised review and escalation which never materialized. Branch employees turned out to be helpless in the matter. It's been months and I've figured out why I really just don't recommend Key for others: there's no real security. They contract with bottom of the barrel card service packages. Their fraud investigation contractor is similarly low quality. Their goal appears to be not to protect clients but to exploit them. In summary, Key is hollow service. No more reach than solid local banks and less security, if any. For those who want more reach and international support, better to travel to Buffalo or Albany to bank with TD or some other chain bank.

After banking with Key bank a little over two years I had to close my accounts and leave.
They do not accurately report payments to the credit bureau.
This is a problem for the costumers because the practices at this bank will have a negative effect on your credit score.
I have several other credit cards that report very quickly, not Key bank. I have an account I payed off and closed with them that is still showing a high balance and as an open account on my credit report!!!
Key bank dose not care about the clients! The staff change so much maybe it’s a training issue.
Whatever it is Key bank dose not care. I would never let a family member or a friend back with them. Run do not walk to another bank!
Oh let me just add that I was NEVER one time late on a single payment with them EVER!
