I have worked so hard to fix my credit so I could buy a house. I was told AmeriCU is the best place to go. That is a joke. After getting my credit report twice on 2 different occasions I was told no. They made me feel like I was inconvenience them.

AmeriCU ripped me off!! Had to fight with them about overdraft fees on my account when clearly I should not have been charged for a mistake that a vendor made. 5 overdraft fees in total and when all was said and done, they refunded 3 of the 5. Also apparently I had a service I didn’t know about on my account. It’s called member privilege. What they do is they make sure your charges are paid regardless of your account balance and then charge you an overdraft fee. So the privilege is that they get to charge you however they want. This was not the first time either. Finding a new bank. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Was with them for over 20 years.

Welcoming staff and fantastic tellers who are always professional, courteous and efficient. Lobby is always clean with minimal wait times. Shared branch banking is easy and hassle free. Thank you all so much for all your hard work!

Morally wrong. It’s the only words I can use to describe what they did to my family. My grandmother was a loyal customer for many many years until her passing in July. This poor excuse for a bank took it upon themselves to decide where her remaining money was to go and put it all in a credit card leaving my mother to not only deal with the loss of her mother, but with the other bills of hers that were supposed to be taken care of by the money these people basically stole.
Shame. Shame on this entire company for allowing such a horrible thing to happen and not reimbursing the basically stolen money on the spot.

One of the worst financial mistakes I ever made was coming to this institution. Credit unions are supposed to help you, this one is just messy. They charge IMMENSE overdraft fees even on charges you didn’t authorize. Just got charged a fee today even though I have money on my card..?? Half the time, my card is locked by them even though I have over $300 on my debit. Their customer service is trash, always lying about not having locked my card. Upon hanging up, magically my card starts working. They bounce payments I try to make to government agencies. Takes forever to do a transfer. Their statements make no sense. When I need to update certain info, they ask me to come in even though I live 300mi away. I’ve asked customer service to change my address 10 times and still has not been changed. I enrolled in paperless statements but still get paper statements sent to my OLD address. Just awful. Can’t wait to be done here

I have been a loyal customer since for over 20 years I loved and recommended this credit union. Since the changes and updates I have experienced nothing but problems and sub par customer service. Everything is farmed out and there is nothing personal about this bank any longer, hours on the phone to resolve simple issues, in person service is nonchalant and its an annoyance to for them to assist you . It has been 3 weeks and their mistake is still not resolved. Extremely disappointed.
