Decided to close my account after getting $35 worth of service management fees, they didn’t even bother to ask me why I was closing so I’m guessing they know that their fees are ridiculous and losing them customers. I have never been charged so much for literally nothing by another bank, definitely do not recommend Key.

I received a letter from Key Bank with an offer for a credit card that appeared to provide a high cash back on purchases. The letter was clearly false advertising and intended to scam customers who applied for this card. After the fact, I went to a local Key Bank, Cicero, NY) to see what could be done about this. The Branch Manager told me that it was my intention to re-instate a credit card that I had back in 2010 (???) and NOT to get a card with a higher cash reward. I didn't realize that Key Bank managers had developed the ability to KNOW what customer's intentions are! The manager was rude and would not listen to me. Shame on you Key Bank if this is the way you treat your customers.

This is my home branch, and they are NOT helpful whatsoever. Imagine having no access to your funds, your online banking account, and being halfway across the country — UNABLE to go to the bank, and being told that they won’t help you over the phone when you have no KeyBanks in the state you’re in. They honestly have some of the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. Kudos to Tim and his branch manager for everything they DID NOT do to help my situation. Mind you, my family and I have used this bank for years and have 7 accounts open that we will now be closing **permanently** due to this disgraceful experience.
