Had a wonderful experience with Arnold where it came to an unexpected event and us inquiring on a loan. Arnold made the process smooth. The outstanding level of customer service we received from Arnold is unlike any other. Truly you don’t get customer service like this anymore. We are truly grateful, thank you again Arnold!

Good bank, but I was waiting over an hour to get helped in the lobby. The cashiers are taking up to 7 mins to help each customer. The cashiers are sorting slow, counting slow, and helping slow. No body is even trying to hurry for the sake of keeping the lobby moving.

I have been a member of GCU for many years and I have always had exceptional customer service from Britni :) She has always made my banking easy and helped me anytime I had any questions or concerns. She is always super easy to work with, super friendly and makes you feel like you are a Priority. :)

The staff at GCU were very helpful, understanding, caring and professional. I worked with four different representatives. However, Mr David Hernandez was PROFESSIONAL at every point of his assistance. He ALWAYS treated us with the utmost respect and in a very non judgemental approach in his communication with us. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had and at the end of the day, had we not been able to reach our financial goals we would have left Mr Hernandez’s office truly believing he worked with our best intentions in mind. We felt he treated us with the professionalism and integrity that is so very rare in todays Financial Institution setting. We recently learned he was promoted to a Managerial position- what a great choice for co workers to have on their team. He is a true team leader by his example and an undeniable ASSET to the operation of Guadalupe CU.

I have been banking with Guadalupe CU for several years and it's always a pleasant experience when I interact with their staff. They seem to be very polite with everybody, which isn't common these days. Also, the financial guidance I've received while inquiring about credit-building is outstanding. Whether it is over the phone, in person or via email, they respond promptly and efficiently address any concerns.

The last two times I have gone into the branch Esteffany Navarrette has been professional, pleasant and taken care of all my needs. In addition, she has made sure before I leave that if I have any other questions she can assist with. I am also a manager in our community and appreciate when employees give great customer service.

So I had left a scathing one star review before and now that I’ve had time to mull things over I’m writing a new one.
If you have very basic banking needs, no big deposits, and a regular paycheck then this institution will probably work for you. The tellers have been polite and helpful whenever I’ve gone. And a checking account is only $1 a month.
That said I’m a small business owner and this is a terrible place for that. I get sporadic big checks and GCU will put a business week hold on them! It’s sooooooo frustrating!
Once I made the mistake of depositing a check in their ATM and it took almost two weeks for it to post. When I called to try to get it sped up I felt very condescended to. I was about to cry and when I told the lady that she actually laughed at me. “Well we don’t want you to CRY.” She thought it was funny.
Another time I went to open a business account and was told it would be $50/month for a checking. I tried to open a business savings account and was told I needed a NM Business License, which the state doesn’t issue. They issue a certificate, and the GCU rep even told me, “I know the state doesn’t issue that but we still need it.” Really.
I was able to open an online biz account with Lili and it was soooo easy! Definitely recommend them.
I feel kind of stuck with them now but for anyone with a business you’d be better off elsewhere.
I just wish they had been transparent about that to begin with. I could’ve shopped around.
