We stopped in to this SECU branch in Las Vegas NM to open up an IRA and Yolanda Velasquez was able to open up this account for me and answer all of our questions. She was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Every business should have employees like Yolanda. Thanks again for everything. Al P.

High membership fees without any benefits or rewards. Does not offer Zelle, mobile check deposits, or free ATM withdrawals. The only way to send money between accounts is via out-dated wire transfers. I would highly recommend banking through SoFi Financial.
SoFi is free and offers debit, credit, investing both traditional and crypto, home, student and business loans and free credit score tracking.
Also hosted the Superbowl this year.
And did I mention SoFi has no hidden fees. Free to use.

Been a member since around 2011 and am thinking of going else where. I don't know who trains these employees but I got a rude one yesterday. She had zero customer service skills. She talked down to me saying "let me do the math for you" first of all I did the math and second don't talk to your members like that especially when you can't see what I see on my online banking end. Third, an apology for the inconvenience of your check deposit policy would have been great instead I get "I shouldn't have released it for you" I didn't get a thank you for putting up with her or even a thank you for being a member this long. They treat members like this because it's the only credit union in their small town. I can't remember what her name was but I'm pretty sure it started with an M. Any how I was more than a little shocked at this girl myself being in customer service for over 10 years and I know what good and bad service is. Doesn't she understand that without members she doesn't have people to serve or a job. We're the reason she's making a pay check and gets to answer the phone and look at a computer all day. Without demand there is nothing to supply even if it is poor customer service. If the phone ain't ringing and customers aren't standing in line then you don't have a job. The things that have kept me here this long are the little perks of a credit union and the fact that i didn't want to change over my direct deposit but there's a lot more than 1 to choose from where I'm at now and I will be going else where in the near future.

Ive had my up and down but at the end of the day im very grateful to have this bank as my choice.. Costumer service is awesome great people, good attitudes, smiles. I know there are alot of new workers but they are great. Very welcoming. Most of my issues or concerns are due to my own personal faults.. Thank you staff and keep up the great work...

I wish there was a choice of giving ZERO stars. My Mom and I both have banked with SECUNM for many years and just recently have both experienced rude and down right mean attitudes. My Mom was told she could not cash checks for my son then when I went I requested for his check to be deposited into my account and was told by a teller named Nona that we could no longer do so. I told her that I wasn’t cashing his check but DEPOSITING it into my account so what was the big deal she then spoke to her supervisor Tina this will be the last time. If this IS in fact a policy I’d like to see it and also give Nona customer service class again because she comes across VERY rude! I called and asked to speak with the bank manager I left a message and got a call back but I was unavailable to answer she left a message so let’s see what her approach will be.

What the point of being a member for over a decade when they can’t even help you out with a first time auto-loan. Capital One has been much more helpful! What a shame honestly.
