My loan was transferred to Cenlar towards the end of it. We paid it off and received a satisfaction of mortgage from them. We are currently in the process of selling our house, and we were informed that the title search shows that Cenlar did not list all my previous mortgages that were paid off (missed putting 2 of them in the satisfaction of mortgages that needed to be filed with my local county clerk's office). I am in contract to sell, can't close until they fix this. Already missed the closing date once because of this HUGE mistake on their part. I am also in contract to buy another home with the proceeds of the sale of my house. We can't move forward because of Cenlar. I have a deadline to close with the purchase of my new home. This is a disaster. Already spoke to two management people (one call with my lawyer's office on the line). Supposedly the paperwork went to the satisfaction team, but I was told it could take up to 30 days to fix. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Both managers said they would follow up with me and my lawyer. Needless to say, never heard from anyone. This morning I tried calling them and a recording came on saying they were having system issues and can't answer the call. Try again later, or go online. I can't fix this problem going online, need to speak to a real person. I really hope I get a response to this quickly. Beware to anyone who has Cenlar as their servicing agent for their mortgage. They are terrible and have horrible customer service. Zero stars from me.

I had my house mortgage with Cenlar. Their website was good and they did a good job about sending me monthly letters, saying how much more I owed. But, there were also some negative things. They were slow to do my escrow properly and when I called them and expressed concern that they needed to charge me more for escrow, they did not set my mind at ease. I was worried that they could negatively effect my credit score or get me in trouble for not paying enough taxes. I had to call the county and they were the ones who set my mind at ease. Also, when I paid off my mortgage, no one said congratulations. This shows that they only care about money, not their customers. Also, they initially promised that they would send me my escrow refund check within 17 days. Then they changed it to 23 days. Ultimately, it took them 40 days. I have proof of this, as I subscribe to "informed delivery" with USPS. I'm glad to be done with them and the next time I buy a house, I will try to get a mortgage without an escrow. I'm perfectly capable of paying taxes and homeowners insurance by myself, and that would have saved me stress.

I would 1000% rate this company -100 stars if I could. Cenlar subservices my loan for my mortgage company. Every time I call the service center for my issues I’m immediately sent to a debt collector, as I’ve been having issues with them tracking my tax exemptions and the payments have been so far off that I’ve had to be put into forbearance until they fixed their mess. I’ve called dozens of times, spoken to probably every single one of their forbearance and customer service representatives. I’ve been told different things every time. I’ve been transferred to another department where I was told they don’t know why I was transferred there because they don’t help with that issue, then immediately transferred back but to a different person. I’ve been put on hold for minutes at a time and transferred after waiting and when asked what happened to who I was talking to, I was told I was blind transferred and they have no idea. I’ve been hung up on, I’ve been told “we can’t turn back time” about the mistakes they’ve made, I’ve been flat out told I was wrong and that my mortgage payments are exactly the way they should be (more than double of what they should be). I was told if I made payments of x amount things would be clear and fixed, I’d wait, I’d call back after the time had passed expecting things to be back to normal and they hadn’t been. I’ve been dealing with their horrid servicing center since June. You’re an absolute joke of a servicing department and I will absolutely be writing my congressman about how you’ve been handling money, especially how you’ve been treating loans and mishandling money of disabled veterans.
Your other reviews make it blatantly obvious that you shouldn’t be in business and I sincerely hope my mortgage company cuts ties with you once whatever contract you have is up.

Horrible company to do business with. They put a 30 day late payment in my record when it was a new account and they had sent the invoice to the wrong address. I have no late payments in my credit history and made their payment as soon as I got the invoice.
Their customer service people provide the most horrible service you can imagine. They are arrogant, condescending and plain rude. You should only go to them if you want to be treated like garbage.
I still have an excellent credit score and refinanced just to get rid of them. They still keep sending me emails.

My original mortgage was sold to Cenlar. I did not pick them.Their customer service is the poorest I ever dealt with. The website was not updated for what customer service was telling me on the phone. I received the pay off letter three weeks after requesting the amount. I paid the remaining balance and received a letter two weeks later stating I was delinquent on my payment.

Pretty much what every other review has said they 100% play games and have to
Be a fraudulent company. I have NEVER dealt with a company this incompetent and or frustrating in all my years as a Realtor. We have been under contract for FIVE months, and for five months they have been stonewalling and or stringing us along by asking us to piecemeal information in the most excruciatingly idiotic slow and inefficient way possible. EVERY time you contact them you would get a different person and if you were lucky you would get contacted back 3 days later but the average was a week or more. Then due to length of time between their requests and lack of response things would “ expire” so we would have to resend the same information over and over and over but with new dates. And JUST when everything was going to be correct they would always need something new. Insult to injury , the house needs way over 100k in repairs just to be habitable and their “appraiser “ appraised it for 150k over value and OVER value for similar homes in diamond condition.
We finally got a single point of contact after Five months and after THREE more weeks they are just NOW telling us we need a home path account to submit the offer. They are Doing EVERYTHING possible to delay this deal. It’s been FIVE months and we don’t even have an accepted /counter offer yet. Madness
So again either most inept company ever or they are unethical and trying to make the home foreclosure for their own reasons. Either way , do not deal with them.

Awful experience as a first time homeowner. Where do I begin with this company. Each time you call this company, there is a new person. The information given to the borrower is NEVER CONSISTENT. This company has caused my family so much distress due their negligence and miscommunication. We were approved for an assistance program to lower or mortgage and waive the month of August. With lowered payments until January. We paid our lowered amount. The payment was unbeknownst to us not received. October comes, we pay our adjusted amount. The payment was returned to and not even applied to our account.. We never received info by mail or by email that our payments weren’t processed and Cenlar continued to charge us for three months past due.You call them and each person is giving you different information. These people are poorly trained and don’t even know basic vernacular as lender. I will be pursuing a lawsuit with the company for their gross negligence and constant misinformation. They even gave the wrong fax number to send my proof of payment! Now I have a receipt of my cashiers check just floating around with my personal information. Cenlar is a joke.

I have had my loan with them for about 3 years. I don't why any bank would use this company. If interest rates had not gone up, we would have refinanced a long time ago to get away from this awful and disgraceful excuse of a mortgage company. All the reviews ate the same. Awful customer service, terrible leadership and even worse management of my mortgage account.
Can't wait til rates improve so we can get away from them.
