I just wanted to make a comment. In the chaios the world is going through and people falling on hard times I just want to say it is very said when a financial institution can not help someone going through hardships. My daughter went through alot with COVID lost her job at the time. Became a new mom and has started up a business trying to bring in an income and be the best mom she can be. She fell behind in her payments. They told her to write a hardship letter and explain her situation as if they were going to help her and that they did not do. They never replied to her letter/email and now have put the car in repo. I understand we can't go without paying our bills but it is just unbelievable to me they would let her believe they could help in some way and then turn around and tell her there is no hardship help for auto loans that to me is just unbelievable and decitiful. I hope everyone that reads this will think about doing business with this local bank that is for the community.

Can't say enough great things about Fern DeFalco. Truly a great asset to this credit union. She went out of her way repeatedly to help me resolve an important matter. She exemplified outstanding service with patience, understanding and thoroughness. She's a keeper!

I have been an employee of FAFCU for 2 years now, and despite some of the negative reviews, I am here to tell you that where we were two years ago to where we are today, is a complete 180 turnaround. Ann Goldinak, since taking over as CEO in late 2020, has done some really good things to improve staffing levels, employee recognition, she has also put in place a solid Management Team, that shares her member/employee first mentality, and to try and recognize employees for a job well done. She has increased staffing in branches and the call center to help alleviate some of the complaints of poor member response, rudeness, etc. It is not an overnight fix, but she, and the rest of her management team, as well as the employees are trying very hard each day to deliver a great member experience, and make FAFCU a place that people want to work for. Count me as one of those people, no place is perfect, no place can make you happy every time, but I have far more enjoyable days here than bad ones.

I used FACU as a loan borrower for a vehicle that I financed. The vehicle was paid off April 2022. I was told by a higher up representative that my title will be mailed out up to 4 weeks after accounts is paid. Four weeks turned into five months! Seriously. I called FACU and was told that my title was never sent out and that it should have been? I was left with confusion because if you’re so quick to collect the money owed then why aren’t you quick to mail me the title?

I finally received my title. It was time to sell and I was still excited at the fact that as a young adult, I paid my first vehicle off.
I went to MVC to transfer the title over to a buyer ,which is a relative of mine. Comes to find out FACU sent me a title that was ripped and tapped back with tape that wasn’t visible to the eyes for me!! I cannot make this up you guys lol. I had to pay $60 to get a brand new title for a mistake that this Credit Union made. After I left MVC, I called FACU higher up representative to get reimbursed and he told me that my account is delinquent over $100 ?? How if my vehicle is paid off ,which I have prove of AND you guys sent me a title for the vehicle already? It just goes to show that they’re completely unorganized and people that are working here are not trained for the job. Smh
BE ON TOP OF THIS CREDIT UNION GUYS IF YOU'RE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM OR STAY AWAY!

Terrible customer service. He put the money in my fathers account and into the checking not savings. I proceeded to tell him to put it in my savings and he processed it again and than he put it in my name BUT the wrong account AGAIN!!!! So my third time sending it back and he FINALLY got it right. This isn’t my first time with a complaint from this bank location. Please teach your employees properly or fire them and hire someone who actually wants to do the job right, it’s not that hard…

Worst customer service ever. Sent two emails recently. No even a reply. Call and you get put on hold forever. All the while listening to looped message saying how customer service is highest priority for them and let them know how they can better serve you. What a joke They updated credit cards and never go there one. Can’t even sign in to my credit card online account because you need new card info. Latest is now there’s a charge to use ATMs. Not even a single notice to members notifying of change. Don’t do it. Stay with larger banks

FAFCU is an incredibly frustrating and poorly managed credit union. Their failure to resolve commitments is baffling. Despite acknowledging and rectifying misrepresentations in my mortgage payments, they refuse to address their errors with my auto loan.
Their written commitment, "Once corrected in the system, all delinquencies regarding the auto loan should be reported as current," remains unfulfilled. Partial corrections don't equate to the promised resolution.
FAFCU's lack of transparency, poor communication, and failure to honor commitments make them an unreliable financial institution. I strongly discourage potential members from choosing FAFCU for their banking needs. It's disheartening to experience such poor treatment, especially as a former FAFCU executive committed to its success. Shame on the CEO, Supervisory Committee, and Board for their apathy.

Shame on this company. Not only making a widow stress over a loan, because the death wasn't recorded properly by them, but also treating her like a criminal. I'm disgusted with their business practices. Not at all surprised by the 2 star rating. Do better. Have some compassion.
