One star for the bank that unsurprisingly has only a 3 star rating on Google. When calling the bank, I was prompted with an automated service that gave options for different reasons of calling. Not one of those options included hours or location. If you’re going to have an automated service, at least allow it
to give information. Instead I was left with more questions than answers. When we tried different options, we were always sent to the operator. This went to voicemail during regular business hours. Your phone system should transfer person to person until the caller reaches someone available. Instead it stopped at the operator. More transfers to the operator after this, and our call was dropped over and over with a message “your request cannot be completed.” Your automated service clearly needs maintenance. Is it worth having an automated service versus giving someone a job as the receptionist? I can promise that someone would be grateful for that job. Again, we were left with more questions than answers and our issue is still not resolved.

I love this bank! Crystal Wallace is so helpful and goes above and beyond. I opened a business account with Cody Rogers who is also very helpful and always goes above and beyond to help. When my checks never came Crystal got on the phone with the company found out why and followed the progress until she had them in hand for me to come and pick them up straight from her!! I was so worried but she kept me informed and updated every few days! I couldn’t have asked for better service!!!

Female loan officer all but ran me out of her office before looking at a single document. She immediately said I didn’t qualify although my income is double that of most of the customers at this bank. Rude, demeaning, and would not recommend. Terrible embarrassing experience. Staff should be reprimanded for their actions.

This little bank is the best. Anytime I need something or have a question all I have to do is call. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Cody Rodgers is my go to guy. He is the best.

Great people who go out of their way to actually help. I was dealing with estate issues and no one had all the answers when I walked in but they made me feel so welcome while they worked to get the answers I needed. I am confident this process could not have been handled any better and am grateful for their service. This branch still has the "small-town, appreciate the customer feel" that is missing from a lot of banks. They are caring first and a business second which is rare today!

Best customer service around! Every time I email Miriam, she is always super quick to respond back and makes sure that all my needs are met. The ladies up front are always pleasant and helpful and the new loan officer for the Sylva branch had me in and out in minutes with a check for my new car. Great team! Thank you!!

Mountain Credit Union in Sylva has always helped me with everything I ever needed. I am very impressed with how fast they get things done. I have worked with many different people in this branch and it has been a great experience every time. I can walk in at any given time and they all have smiles and warm welcomes.
