Charged me a $30 dollar fee to cash a check for being a non member. Seems a little excessive considering its one of their members money that im trying to get. Almost all banks DO charge a non member fee but come on now. 30$??? So potential customers of this bank need remember how they are going to treat someone you give one of their checks to before you decide to give these people control of your hard earned money. With a large sign as soon as you enter that says "no hidden fees"

You guys need to maintain your ATM(s)…can’t deposit checks or cash because I’m a tow truck driver and can’t drive through or come inside but miraculously have no trouble whatsoever when I’m in Waxhaw. Downtown Monroe is a stone age compared to 74 and Waxhaw…

I put some cash in the ATM and it never went into my account, so I went down there, spoke with Stephanie and it turns out they are very aware of the issue... Several people have had the same problem and they FINALLY got the part to fix it, 2 weeks ago. They determined that I was right, after an investigation, the ATM was over so the money was put in my account.
All was well until they evidently changed their minds and took it back last week, causing an overdraft and specific bills not to paid, not to mention... affecting
my credit!
Stop contacting me! You will not get anymore money from me! You previously already costed me $50, $25 from 2 companies, when the payments were returned to them UNPAID, because I put cash in on Fridays and it didn't post until Monday or Tuesday (if it ever posts). I Wasn't informed that this is how it works BEFORE or when opening my account, UNRELIABLE!
I switched banks : )

I went here to cash my stimulus check and the lady at the window was VERY rude. She informed me that I was being rude as well and I am sorry ma'am but all I was doing was giving to you what you were so freely giving to me. I asked for the manager and she said she was the one in charge at the time and her attitude did not come close to lining up with what fifth third is all about. I was shocked at the way she handled herself. This is the only time I have ever been disappointed with my bank.

On Friday, April 20 my husband put $200 in the ATM to cover our car insurance payment. We found out, when we received a letter from Geico, that the payment was declined & the money never posted to the account!
My husband has contacted the bank multiple times and was told by the same lady that he would be getting a return phone call as soon as she spoke with the company that services the ATM... It Has Been More Than 5 MONTHS!
NO PHONE CALL! NO REFUND! They DO NOT Care!
We lost $200 AND, We still had to pay that payment, AGAIN!, out of our own pocket!
UNACCEPTABLE Customer Service!

Today I will be closing all my accounts with Fifth third bank. I have been a customer of this bank as far back as when it was Bank of Union. Probably been 30 plus years. You would think they would take care of customers that had been with them that long but they don't. Last year we had a fraud bogus check cleared our account for 321.00. I immediately reported it to the bank the same day it happened. It took me around 180 days to get my money back. Last week the same thieves did it again and this time overdrew the account that had hardly anything in it which is seldom used because we started a new account. I called the bank immediately upon their opening the same morning the fraud check that overdrew the account went through. They would not stop payment on the bogus check but instead charged me overdraft fees twice in 3 days. We signed the paperwork they asked us to sign and was told by a bank employee not to worry about it and let the bank take care of it. The bank then the next day took(or "stole") money out of our savings account to cover the fraud they should never have paid in the first place. Going to change to a bank that hopefully will be interested in taking care of its customers.
