By far the best customer service I’ve had thus far with MCU. I called 7 branches to make a loan payment and this branch, 87 miles from me, was the only response. I applaud the staff there and they even gave me extra information to better serve my loan needs.

I have to say this is the worst branch to use. Extremely rude teller(s) branch manager unwilling to come and talk to my husband and I about a recurring transaction we do every month. This is the second time we have given them the chance to do business with us. We open our act. 2 years ago in Waynesville NC. They are true professionals kind curious and respectful there and always a pleasure to work with,but the Cherokee branch absolutely horrible and unforgivable behavior. We moved from Maggie Valley to Bryson City so we naturally decided to work with Cherokee since it was closer Never again we will we deal with Cherokee branch. The teller did not even count the money out for a large sum back to herself or to me as a customer. She simply took it from the machine put it in a envelope handed it to me with a receipt to sign and took the signed receipt back. There was no thank you have a nice day we appreciate your business nothing. I stood there and counted my cash out in front of her. She did not even offer to count. VERY POOR BUSINESS. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BANKING BUSINESS TO THE Silva or Waynesville branches. This is no way to treat your customers especially your senior citizens. On one last note even money laundering came out of the other teller. WOW

We left our last bank due to extremely poor customer service and came here as we heard how easy they are to deal with. I applied for a loan on Thursday and was approved on Friday with minimal effort on my part. Heather Temple (loan officer) is very knowledgeable and gave us a variety of options to accommodate our loan needs. The credit union closes at 5:30 on Friday but she and her staff stayed until 6 to make sure we were taken care of. I am very pleased we decided to make the switch and will continue to tell everyone how much we love our new credit union!

On 9/11 I went into the Murphy/Marble NC branch to inquire about opening an account. I had just started a new job and wanted a Credit Union instead of a bank for my direct deposit. Karen and Lisa jumped right on it and I was set up in no time at all! They were personable, professional and overall amazing. In a matter of minutes my savings and checking accounts were set up, temporary checks were assigned, and my debit card was personally pinned and given to me right there on the spot! Their customer service was far better than the big banks I had used previously. Mountain Credit Union was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them for your banking needs! Rosalind told me she placed order for more checks and I should have them no later than 2 weeks. Never got them and asked if anyone knew why. Was told they were never ordered. Horrible service. My wife had same experience with a different branch trying to get a new debit card. Definitely moving to a different credit union after these experiences.

I am an account holder at 2 of the best rated military credit unions in the country, one of which has been named repeatedly as having the best customer service. Jeff Lewis at Mountain Credit has put them to shame!!! His above and beyond customer service skills are unparalleled. I'm extremely grateful for all of his help! If you're shopping for expediency, effectiveness, and excellence in customer service, by all means go see these folks at Mountain Credit!!
