We just got the shop loan through whitefish credit union and they are terrible. My husband said they haven't updated their protection software in over 12 years. They've sent more than half our mail including my debit, pin# & our checks to our personal address which is undeliverable. We specifically called to order checks so we could be sure they had the right address and stop they sent them to the wrong one. My husbands card and pin # arrived at our mailbox and mine all disappeared after being sent to the wrong address. We might already have to get a stop payment and new card. Totally incompetent. If I didn't have a loan through them already I'd close my account immediately! Expect to spend a min of 10 min on hold every time you call. No doubt because of the complete incompetency of this business. While I’ve dealt with some genuinely good people who work for them I am even more disappointed to hear in their responses that this isn’t the first incompetence complaint of the day by far.

Yikes, some months ago the WCU changed their policy on Trust acct's, was a ridiculous change, days later we closed out all our acct's, substantial $'s, between $50k - $200k Not even a why, or how can we keep your business. I was a customer for over 25 years. Huge shift in customer service, must have been a gradual shift in management to where they feel they are to big to fail? Glad I'm out and would suggest that you shop for the best place for your money

Worst credit union I’ve been with! Very unhappy with the service. They don’t even want to help you. Rude when they speak to you! If I didn’t have this loan I would close my account!!

I've been to all the banks in town. This bank is the only bank that wants you to sign your life away to cash a check on their own customers account. Finger print, Social security number. No one else in town requires that. It's like they don't want to let go of money that's not even theirs..So many good hometown banks in town...Maybe look elsewhere...

Wish I would have never got involved with this bank. I have been a member for years, and never had a single issues with my vehicle loan or accounts. Now that I’ve been out of work for months due to COVID complications with my asthma from service in Afghanistan, they want nothing to do with me. My representative Shannon today actually told me I need to “help myself” financially after trying to explain my issue and health problems. Also told me they offer no help until I’ve had a loan for over a year, which after checking my loan has been active over a year. When I get back on my feet, I will be refinancing with another reputable bank and ending all future contact with this crass, arrogant, and rude group.

Probably the worst bank in Montana. I wish I could give this zero stars. Multiple times now I have my card not work even though there is more than enough money in my account. I have sat on the phone for hours and they cannot give me an answer why. People please do not use this bank unless you enjoy having your hard earned money being managed by a bunch of low life’s who have no idea how to do their jobs.

consistent inability to contact staff. phone system is constantly screwed up, i.e. you call during normal business hours and it either says they are closed or "leave us a message.". I have left numerous messages - no replies. mobile app is a complete joke. no one knows anything when you can talk to someone, i.e. you ask about smart phone pay - you get sent to another voicemail. again no rely back. been a member since 2019, i have switched banks now.
