I have had an amazing experience as a member of RMCU. This is my second credit union membership, and so far RMCU has exceeded my already stellar experience with my previous CU. They are prompt, professional, and soooooo nice. Love working with the team here, looking forward to doing more banking with them!

Generally I have a very positive experience with the staff and receive a lot of great help in person. I live close to a Bozeman branch so its convenient. The iOS mobile application unreliable, often not working, it lacks features and I often have to wait or come in-person to accomplish simple tasks that I could do on the mobile app for other banks. So its like personal and local so that feels good, but the app is bad so I probably would steer clear if you're under the age of 50.

Looking to get my first credit card and attracted by their fixed interest rate I applied for my first card July 11th, 2018. I was told by Kelly I did not qualify due to lack of credit history (understandable) and was told I could open a CD secured loan to begin building credit. Being a credit union I was required to have a savings account in addition to the CD secured loan. I went all in and opened a checking account as well. This is when the problems started. The first debit card I was issued had my name spelled wrong. I was issued a second debit card. Again, my name was spelled wrong. As a financial instution bound by the "know your customer" act it is terrifying they got this wrong not once but twice. Shortly thereafter I received a phone call from Kelly informing me I was late on my CD secured loan payment. I NEVER EVEN GOT A BILL! Great way to start off building credit. In 2021 I moved. I received a $5 bill in the mail. I don't mean $5 as a gift; I mean I WAS CHARGED $5 FOR MOVING. In 2021 I went in and applied for a credit card. A hard credit check was done. I was then told I didn not qualify. I went to First Interstate Bank and was approved for a credit card on the spot. October 18th, 2021 I closed my accounts with Rocky Mountain Credit Union. Why am I just now writing this review? Because that hard credit check is still on my credit report. I banked with Rocky Mountain Credit Union for over 3 years and all I have to show for it is Lies, Fees, and a NEGATIVE IMPACT ON MY CREDIT. Rocky Mountain Credit Union transcends atrocious and is HAZARDOUS TO YOUR FINANCIAL HEALTH. Bank somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE!

Ever since I first walked in to open a checking account, every team member has been extremely courteous, and worked diligently to get any questions I've had answered, or concerns (which are almost non-existent) addressed. And they did so, with haste. Right then and there. They made sure that before I left, I felt heard, and made sure that all of my questions or concerns were addressed, and explained to me in a way I comprehended, without making me feel silly or idiotic for having to ask certain questions, or not understanding something. If you are looking for a new bank or credit union, I HIGHLY recommend Rocky Mountain Credit Union. They'll take care of YOU, and not just your money. Tell them Jen sent you 😁!
