I came to the drive through. Waited 3-4 minutes and Nobody came to help. One person walked by and turned away acting like she didn't see me. Then I looked past her to someone standing at the main tellers. She put up a finger (like to say just a minute). 2 minutes later I drove off. I'm not interested in continuing my accounts with Royal Credit Union.

My experience at Lake Area Bank has been exceptional up until the last two weeks. My card was expiring, and the bank usually sends me a new one at least a few days before it expires, at the very least the day it expires. Nope, not this time. It's more than a week into February, and there is no card in sight for me or my family members. I understand if it was a few days late because of recent shipping issues, but over a week late is unacceptable. This is so inconvenient for me, and I'm not the type to carry around cash everywhere. They have not been communicative about any updates on my card, and honestly, this is kind of ridiculous because they are located about 5 minutes from my house. Not to mention, when I tried to set up Apple pay, I was put on hold every time I tried to confirm my card. I expected better customer service from a local bank, and I'm just frustrated.

Lake Area Bank has been our bank for over 10 years and we love them. The entire staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and nice. I wouldn't go anywhere else for our banking. Also, Cali (our dog) loves the drive-thru treats.

Always a quick and easy banking experience. But, sometimes after normal hours, I can't access the lake area bank app on my computer. BUT, that's not a big concern......there's always a Mon thru Fri during normal operating hours. On another note, how can I do on-line banking after normal lobby hours??

Lake Area used to be great. They took care of their customers. When I originally opened a checking years ago, I asked about overdrafts, I was told that they would never offer such a stupid program to their customers and never charge overdraft fees. This was true until RCU took over. I explained this to an agent over the phone and was passed to a supervisor. The supervisor clearly did not value me as a customer at all. Nearly immediately, she suggested I close my account. She claims they cannot decline a transaction if there is not enough money in the account, even though it had worked that way for years. There have been laws passed against the fees they charge and for banks automatically enrolling customers into these accounts. Plenty of other large and small banks have had no ISF fees for years. But if RCU can't make money off charging you fees, they would rather you take your business elsewhere. So I will.
