We have been with Northwoods bank for over 30 years. We have had good service whether for getting a loan for our business or for just doing everyday banking. We appreciate having such a good bank in our hometown. Northwoods Bank is a blessing to our area.

Northwoods bank has been great. They stopped fraudulent charges on my account even though they couldn't get in touch with me at the time. It's good to have a local bank who knows you.

Northwoods Bank is great. Love the satellite branch in downtown, and all the tellers are very friendly and efficient.

I heard great things about Northwoods Bank from friends so my wife and I tried their mortgage services out. After trying their services for a couple months, we ended up going through a different bank because we never got straight answers from our loan officer and was never given a true dollar amount of what we could afford, so putting an offer on a house was very difficult without having that information. Also, last time we were in the bank an employee made a very rude comment about a customer and her appearance after she had left and that person happened to be a coworker of mine. I'm really not one to post reviews, if any, but my experience with this bank could've been much better.

I like this bank. The workers are usually nice (can catch them on an off day sometimes). Online banking works pretty smoothly. They are quick to solve issues. My only complaint is their overdraft fee is $33 each day and there is no one day grace period and no notifications to inform you that your account is negative. The other bank I bank at only charges a $5 overdraft fee and they send a statement in the mail giving you time to fix your account before they even charge that $5 overdraft fee. Which they only add on once a week if you still haven't taken care of your account balance. So if you were negative $10 they will send you a statement saying it's negative. If you don't take care of it, a week later you get another statement saying you are -$15. Week two -$20 etc..
At this bank, if you are -$10, that same day they charge you $33 overdraft fee. So now you are -$43. And if you don't notice for 3 days, that's -$109. One week would be -$241. Both banks are locally owned (different towns) and the other bank only has two locations. So I don't really understand why Northwoods overdraft fees need to be so high. Maybe that is something they can reevaluate and change in the future. Maybe not. I also tried to call the bank 5 minutes before they closed and it just went straight to voicemail. Any customer service job I have had, you answer the phone until the exact time you are closed. So I really don't understand that either. But customer service in this area in general is not great, so compared to other businesses, this bank is still pretty good. I'll continue to use this bank since they are convenient and overall I do like banking here. And I appreciate that they planted flowers around the bank and make it look really nice. Also, they always give my dogs some treats when we go through the drive through.

We have banked with Northwoods for years and have always had a great experience with each aspect. Northwoods is notorious for giving back to the communities they serve. The friendly staff is engaged in provocative ways that enhance and advance the entire area. I continue to be grateful for the professional services always provided there.
