Terrible experience! I called several time and waiting to get right department . Then, one after another transfer, on hold and cut-off a called. The bank refinance officer give me green light to go ahead with appraisal and finally, they could not give me refinance my mortgage because one tax document. However, I try to used that appraisal for PMI and they don't allowed me to removed. I would like to give everyone should not deal with Flagstar Bank at all. Don't open account at this Bank.

Not this specific location but the company Flagstar bank is horrible and unorganized.
I was with a different mortgage company (Dovenmuhler mortgage) I was on a covid deferral from 4/1/20 - 9/1/20. My mortgage payments were moved to the back of my loan as a covid courtesy with Dovenmuhler. I got transferred to flagstar bank 10/1/20. They have returned my Wellsfargo mortgage payment sent on 10/13/20 due to a inaccurate posted balance on the account. According to their records they couldn’t find any deferral for the previous loan. I then faxed over my proof of deferral from my previous lender. They still have not adjusted the account correctly, they have also placed me on a new “forbearance”, I never agreed to that or requested it. I can’t pay my mortgage by bill pay or on their website due to the inaccurate posted balances. Every time I call in the resolve I get transferred to someone who can’t help me and needs to transfer me to someone else, I’ve called in now 12 different time and spent over 1 hour on each call..

Deceitful management at FlagStar Bank, horrendous customer support and they don't even know how to keep a ledger balanced. Avoid this bank at all costs or you will regret it.
When they purchased my mortgage the paperwork was screwed up (which they admitted to me in writing as being their fault) and they ended up sending me to collections despite the fact that I have paid in full each month, and have provided the receipts to prove it. Not only that, for one of the payments they double charged me and they couldn't send the extra money back. Dozens of hours on the phone later, and having to take two full days of leave from work I am no closer to a resolution. When you call these people on they phone they pay excellent lip service to you, and even give a case number, but when you call back they deny ever receiving a call. When they promise to send the case to an internal investigator to get to the bottom of it, they fail to follow through and tell you that no progress has been made. Again they promise to do something about it, and again they sit on their thumbs and ignore the case.
Now I am forced to make extra full payments on my mortgage above what they are owed just to satisfy them and keep a roof over my head while this process trudges on for what will likely be years at the rate they are going. I'm a nurse and work in a nursing home that was hit hard by COVID-19 and the time I have had to spend on this only increases the burden on my my fellow nurses.
I do not believe in coincidences. who knows how many other people they are doing this to? Don't take the chance that it will happen to you too.

Our closing date was missed because of Myke Laventure at the Lake Elmo, MN location. He had paperwork for many weeks and was not able to meet deadlines for NO reason!!! This resulted in us having to move our closing date, paying cancellation fees for dog kennel, missed work, having to change delivery on our appliances and pay a reschedule fee (had to move into a home with no appliances for almost two weeks). In addition, NOT ONE SINGLE APOLOGY was made by Myke Laventure or Flagstar. They were contacted several times by myself and also by our realtor. This was a terrible experience and I would move on to a different mortgage company that will respect your time and money. Flagstar FAILED us!
