I spoke with Wendy today, after failing to be able to speak with management. Wendy was very kind, attentive and tried really hard to help me speak to a member of management. We will see if I get a call back, if not, that's not on Wendy, she tried. Thank you Wendy for being so kind.

Senior management had to take care of the branch managers bad illegal customer service. Choice one contacted me and made things right. Employees need more training and customer service. Management needs to be replaced. I seen some other structure eliminates that need to be changed before the bank gets into federal trouble . However this is not my concern, fixing there bank. They just need to figure it the hard way I guess.. I have no issues with Choice one bank. If they need a sit down and ask for help I will do my best I change the review score now

I was banking with a bank in Lapeer called Lakestone Mutual and they switched to Choice One in some merger. I had a savings account with over 1000 dollars which was shown to not be there once the merger happened. I was charged for an overdraft fee that was supposed to be taken off of my stuff because it was an error on the banks end. When they took it off the very next day they charged me agian for the process of correcting thier first mistake. This by far has been one of the absolute worst banking experiences I have ever dealt with.

DO NOT USE FOR A MORTGAGE. My mortgage loan officer lied to me about the kind of mortgage I was approved for until after I put down money and paid for an inspection. When I asked questions she would google them and then screenshot the answer and send it to me. I lost a place to live almost $1,500 due to this bank’s negligence and misguidance. As long as I get my regular teller I never have any issues. They are always friendly and helpful. Even when they messed up stuff they fixed it fast and proficiently.

literally nothing but issues since opening my account. lady put my name in the system wrong then the card info in wrong so it took 2 days for them to figure out why i couldn’t activate my card. now i can’t even put money in my account at the ATM because they messed something up again. save yourself and go to a credit union.
edit- literally deposited cash at the atm and now can’t use it until the next business day. wish i could leave negative stars. will be closing my account
