Good grief people please try to treat customers with basic respect!
After I was " pre-approved" for a small loan of 2K and after I provided all documentation for the loan the loan officer was snooty about my income. I know I don't make a whole lot but after working through the process I just thought the comment such as " we are really trying to work with your income and it's really tight" just put me off. No I'm not looking to be offended to take issue but I suppose it was a little important to have some extra help during these difficult times. I was just requesting a small loan of 2k to apply towards the residual balance for my daughter's braces and not have to use savings. I ended up tapping savings anyway....
Furthermore this office raised issue and asked for a June pay stub instead of April even after I placed my car up as collateral. Additionally I was put off by the ridiculousness about using my April pay stub instead of June's. My April pay stub reflected my 1st quarter bonus. I always earn my quarterly bonus. So, I terminated my application and frankly the representative could've cared less. The phone call was pretty lousy.
Suggestion: Send your help to a course to work on customer service skills for the snobbery. Also coach your people on not to treat the low hanging fruit like garbage. Small town you know...But more importantly thank you for reiterating that I'm a low income earner as I needed extra clarification on my financial position. Oh my daughter's braces turned out great by the way. :)

They will send pre-approval offers nearly weekly. Every single time you apply they deny you claiming they can’t verify your income. I have W—2 statements from prior filing season & can provide the last several weeks of paystubs including the current week at any given time. Place is a JOKE.

Says congratulations your approved but then once you talk to them your denied. Not worth to get an inquiry on your credit then.

The manager of this branch is unprofessional. I don’t think customer service skills are a requirement for Holland. I would recommend applying for a loan somewhere you are treated like a human.
