I’ve been using them a little over a year now, I have a savings account and a car loan through them. Every time my insurance renews they send me a letter letting me they’re going to charge my account for “supplementary” insurance at some
God awful rate of a few hundred dollars a day unless I prove I have insurance. Most recently I withdrew money by check, the check never arrived. After calling customer service, being transferred to 3 different departments, they came up with the following solution, “we’ll email you and e-form to sign, and cancel the check. The money will be back in your account after 90 days.” 90 days?! To access MY MONEY. Money that’s FDIC insured!! I cannot wait until this loan is payed off and I can put these clowns in the rear view. ALSO the first 6 months I had the car loan, the auto payment was pulling late. So I had to pay over the phone(with an added phone payment fee) to avoid the late fee just to then have them auto pull 4 days later. So I was forced to make double payments for 6 months to keep my account in good standing, Avoid this place like it’s got Covid and bedbugs. You’d be better off putting your money under your mattress. At least then you can get it when you need it.

Security credit Union. Has never done me wrong comparative to all the other institutions in this area. I love doing financial endeavors with a community based financial institution that cares about your needs. Highly impressed With their customer service at their headquarters top-notch. Highly recommend them I hope you have an enjoyable experience as I did.

Today I attempted to sign up for a banking account at Security Credit Union for my business. I called your number and was put on hold for the next available agent. After about 15 minutes and 15 recorded messages that indicated someone would be with me soon, I reached a bank employee who took my name and what I was looking for and said she would transfer me to someone who could help me. Someone answered the phone without introducing herself and as soon as I spoke, she hung up. Not to be so easily put off, I dialed the number again. This time I waited through 5 or 6 recorded messages by a woman and then the messages changed to a serious man's recording, telling me how important my business was and someone would be with me shortly. Next come the suggestion that I could leave a message and someone would call back in 11 minutes. I waited for several more minutes and the next message said my wait time was now 14 minutes and if I wanted to leave a message, someone would call me back in 14 minutes. I guess someone jumped in front of me in the virtual line. Eventually after almost 45 minutes waiting, I tried to leave a message, but that didn't work. With all the free time I had waiting, I browsed your website, only to find an overall poor review. I was surprised to managements response was to call ... the same number that I just wasted 45 minutes on. Management, you need to call your own number as see how messed up your system is. I did call again later (during your peak call time) to 5th 3rd bank and was greeted on the 2nd ring and setup an appointment in about 5 minutes. I hope this initiates some activity on your part to improve a terrible customer service process. Best of luck.

I have belonged to many credit unions and this is the worst there tellers are not friendly there is usually only one and they treat you like their doing you a favor like dealing with a bank.
Honda of Grand Blanc talked me into a lone with this credit union that was a bad choice and bad recommendation on there part I paid the vehicle off with a check from my credit union first they said they would hold the check for five days today it’s ten days hello credit union to credit union it’s 2019 what a terrible place to deal with as a local business owner in Grand Blanc I would recommend not dealing with this credit union look at their reviews there terrible it’s why they spend so much money on advertising.
Team one and Frankenmuth credit unions are good to deal with there is more to a loan than the interest rate
Buyers beware

I would not trust this financial institution to manage the finances of a child’s lemonade stand. Seriously did not call me to let me know that you needed more information once again to process a loan that I was under the impression was all good for 3 weeks. Took multiple visits to my insurance office and dealership to get this mess sorted out. Filing a legal complaint as well. This bank sucks.

Really rude persons attending phone calls, they put you on hold while you are speaking, I couldn't get the name of this person, but for sure is not the way way to serve customers.
