Though my wife and I have not had a bad experience in any of the branch offices, we just happened to have business to do in the area. As usual the staff were exceptional. We needed new bank cards and also to dispute a transaction in question. The staff don't treat you like customers but better, they treat you like friends and family. Great job, and thank you.

I visit this branch approx once every 2 weeks. Have never had a sour or even remotely passive experience. Tellers are always over the top friendly, quick to process my requested transactions, and rarely have a queue of people waiting to be assisted due to their efficiency.

Update NOV 2023
I'm upping the score for 2 reasons. #1 It's been about 12 months with no issues, #2 One of the managers contacted me to apologize. He informed me that their staff had not received adequate training on the Truth in Lending Act and, they were taking steps to do better going forward. I actually really appreciated that they were willing to admit fault in this incident and display a genuine effort to improve.

If you are looking for a mortgage, I would stay far away from Bangor Savings.
They were always unprepared, and getting closing disclosures from them was like pulling teeth. On multiple occasions they forced me to sign incorrect documents. After almost daily phone calls, I finally received the correct documents the day before closing.
Loan servicing is not much better. The portal provides very little information and since I don’t bank with Bangor Savings, there are no options to pay my mortgage online. My only option to make or change payments is through a 15-20 minute online chat.
