There banking system is complicated and inconvenient. I can’t make a payment online if I have a balance due on my account. Their hours of business are my work hours and I can only come in the office to pay my bill or be charged $4 to pay over the phone. It’s a set up. Also, the customer service is very weird. They get mad at me if I’m behind on my loan payment after I already explained to them that I’m in Grad School and my income changed so I have to make bigger payments when I get my refund check. It’s like they don’t care. And I can’t even set up my automatic payments anymore because I’m behind on payments. It’s such an inconvenience and I just want a new car All together and move on from this credit union. Before COVID I NEVER had problems with them.

I rarely ever write an online review, but today I had to make a NECESSARY exception…….. this is the worst Credit Union ever!!! I would rather bank with the Big Banks then to deal with this credit union. I have been a member since 2008, and ever since COVID-19, this bank can’t seem to get there act together. There technology is subpar, you make a payment today on a loan and payment doesn’t get posted to your account until 3 BUSINESS DAYS later but monies are withdrawn right away!!! Customer service is lacking. This bank is stuck in a time warp. They have really fallen off, and I can’t wait until I’m able to refinance my loan out of this bank……. Please do your research and ask questions about products, service, turn around times, and fees before committing with them (there is a reason for ALL the 1 ⭐️‘s also check out the yelp reviews) Save you the stress. God Bless!!

Young Female teller at drive thru completely botched a routine transaction. Need to train these people better.

I don't understand all the bad reviews with this branch of APGFCU. I have been banking at this branch for many years. Financed vehicles and other loans in the past. Every time I go into the bank to use a teller or need to speak to one of the office staff I have always been greeted with a smile and they have been very friendly.

Customer service is downright rude and lazy. I got an attitude when I wanted to schedule an appointment for a refinance as if I was inconveniencing them. Wouldn't even let me schedule or even verify me through security questions because I didn't have my member number, which I've been trying to get a replacement card for for the past 5 years and no luck. I've given these guys 0 issues for the 10 years I've been with them and can't wait to close my account after what they've put me through.

As a potential new customer, definitely not impressed. We applied for a loan, didn't hear anything for over a week. Sent online messages several times with only a "someone will get back to you in 24-48 hours" reply. When someone finally reached out to us from the loan department, they said they never received any messages. So it's obvious the bank side doesn't talk to the loan side. The loan people are great, it's not their fault their organization is run so haphazardly.
So now we are trying to open a membership, a condition of getting the loan. We submitted all information on their web site only to get a reply back several days later saying they rejected the application because they couldn't verify the documents we submitted. We literally submitted the same documents for the loan and that went through just fine! So now, my wife and I must go into a branch (which is tough because we have different work schedules) and give them, in person, the same exact documents we submitted on their web site.
Originally, I was going to move all my accounts to APGFCU. Now, I'm just going to use them for this loan. Because if this is the way this place is run, I don't think I can trust them with my money.

Sandra saved the day! She went the extra mile to assist me with an issue and I want her to know how much I appreciate it. Employees like her is what has kept me a member of APGFCU for almost 20 years. Thanks so much!

I have had no problems with APGFCU. I have an auto loan, a savings acct. and a CD. I do find it inconvenient to open a CD. You must make an appt. to open the account. The actual time to do this transaction is approx. 10 minutes. I have to drive 45 minutes for 10 minutes of work. The CD requires "new money"-money not already in the credit union. They accept a personal check for my auto loan, why couldn't I send a check to open a CD. Other than that, so far, no problems. By the way, when the new system was set up, if you followed the instructions carefully, it was quite simple. With the technology we are fortunate to have, I do think they could have found a way to transfer information instead of having all members start over with their information. I'm sure they had a good reason! An explanation would have been appreciated.
