This has been our bank for close to twenty years now and we couldn't be happier. The staff is always helpful and engaging and it doesn't seem to matter if it's a loan or just a deposit they are very willing to help.
We have a mortgage, home equity, checking, a solar loan, and savings accounts. This will always be our home bank.
There really does seem to be something special about this branch. It's just a good friendly bank.

A friend uses the video tellers here and they speak highly of the service. Everytime I go with, the servcie is prompt and professional. The use of technology to help folks bank remotely is a really great concept. The bank is on Route 5, also known as King Street, in Northampton across the street from Stop and Shop, in front of Walgreens and next to the Speedway station and the Potpourri Plaza. Ample parking, handicap location, and cool architecture.

Worst bank I have dealt with! Obnoxious, incompetent employees, terrible customer service and always unnecessarily inconvenient. Always.
I paid off my MassSave heat loan with an incompetent video teller with which I was forced to deal because the people at the bank insisted that they couldn't handle it in person. Didn't get the receipt I asked for and customer service on the phone refused to help me confirm the balance was paid. Just the final interaction in a long string of absolitely terrible service. I'M GLAD TO BE DONE WITH THEM!

About a year ago when I moved my bank over to umass five I also moved my vehicle loan there and had a great experience switching everything over. Now, I am trading that vehicle in had a good experience with the loans department. They were aware I needed my bank check today at lunch. Lunch break came and I didn’t hear back from the rep I was working with all week. I emailed, called, left voicemails multiple times. I was very frustrated to say the least. I got to the branch and as James came from lunch break he had the challenge of getting all of my paperwork together and getting me my check in 15 minutes. He worked with underwriting, got my paperwork done, turned out my rep had internet issues at home. He successfully got the job done in 20 minutes for me. I am so appreciative of James, every time I go to the branch which isn’t very often he remembers my name, says hello, and is always so happy. Thank you James for saving my day!! I appreciate you & all your help always.
