The best credit union. They will help you when needed. The west Springfield branch as the best management there. The hole staff is great there .

So happy we chose HCU for our car loan! The interest rate was great (1/2 of what the dealer had wanted to charge) and the service was even better. Robyn L walked us through the process. She was very responsive, professional, kind, and helpful. We closed VERY quick on the loan. I would highly recommend HCU and ask for Robyn L!

I worked with Donna Lessard for the second time on a refinance. HCU has been my credit union for years because they’ve always been excellent to work with, and employees like Donna are why I am a big fan! Donna was a huge help to me through the process and was extremely responsive. Donna- thank you to you and the team for all of your help! I would highly recommend HCU for your banking and mortgage needs.

Worst tech support ever. I’ve been getting daily $0.00 balance messages for 4 years from the Holyoke Credit Union. That’s how long the account has been closed. I’ve called them numerous times, sent letters, and even tried mailing to multiple email addresses. All ignored or bounced. It’s literally impossible to turn off the notices unless the account is still open. Closing the account took 2 years because of their requirement that you literally had to come into the bank to close it. Hard to do from Arizona. When we finally visited - and brought in a notarized letter to close the account - they said the notices would go away once the account was closed. Still getting them. Nice people, but technology and the corresponding support leaves a lot to be desired.

We have been banking with the credit union for almost ten years. I have been satisfied with their customer service, hours and willingness to work with their members. We hit a rough patch and worked closely with Alan and communicated frequently and were able to work through the issue. I know sometimes it is hard to work on the banking end and listening to people that make promises to pay and then they don't. In my experiences with HCU, if you just communicate and be open and honest they truly try to work with you. Much better than a big national bank I worked for in College!

If I could give zero they would get zero. Stay away from the mortgage department!!
The main idea behind a credit union is that they are local, community friendly, and can understand you during tough times. My family and I went through some financial crisis over the last year and I’ve tried to stay current through communication and payment with them. They have now sent two letters of demand without speaking to us and just sending the letters prior to a payment. CUT THROAT TACTICS.
I’ve left multiple voicemails with Rachel, Paul, and their Dark Sith Supervisor trying to communicate with them with late or no callbacks. When I tried a 3rd time in last week to make a payment they don’t pick up the phone and then finally today the teller/part-time collector says a letter has been sent out without talking to me first.
Be aware and do not conduct mortgage business with them. I have multiple mortgages with other corporate banks and I’ve gone through similar situations and never experienced anything close to this lack of care and they are Corporate.
