I have been a member for over a decade already and zero % of unhappiness! The branch manager, Kim Morris, came to my high school and she was so knowledgeable about finances I couldn't wait to open my membership. Kim and her staff treat you like family and not just an account. We recently moved out of the area and Kim and ICCU continue to exceed expectations. We will always keep our accounts with the credit union. We are comfortable and confident with all our transactions. Have been a member of the credit union for over 15 years. Have had multiple issues and problems. Have a rose over those 15 years. Kim, the branch manager has rose to the occasion every single time and has fixed those problems. Kim is a perfect example of how a manager should be executes and finds the problem and fixes it. This is the reason why I continue to do my banking with ICCU

I’m sad to share that I had a horrible experience with ICCU in Dekalb. I originally called and when I mentioned I had questions about applying for an auto loan I was quickly shut down and advised to apply online. That should’ve been my first sign to not even deal with this union but I went ahead and applied. After being preapproved I asked how the process would work from this moment forward and it was not explained correctly. Nothing was. I was not told the stipulations or the criteria that needed to be met by the car I would choose. Even though I asked. So after being preapproved I spent days looking for the right vehicle for me. When I found it tried to contact this branch to get the paperwork done I needed to take it home. No one was able to be reached and l went into the sycamore branch to get help and hopefully take the car that I need home. I quickly found out that this was a much more intensive process and I learned that the vehicle I spent time searching for would be denied because it didn’t match the criteria I had no idea about. Safe to say I was frustrated, upset and in tears. I am thankful for the lady at the sycamore branch for being kind in understanding that I wasn’t upset with her but the situation. She took the time to explain the loan, and the criteria. Along with the horrible communication, the way that this union does auto-loans is outdated and is extremely inconvenient. Typically you would receive an approval code and the dealership can access your information and essentially you don’t need to go back and fourth to the credit union and the dealership, but this credit union doesn’t do that and you do in fact need to go back and forth. They are also closed on Wednesday which makes communication and processed take much longer. Overall working with this credit union was a huge frustrating waste of time. I went to the dealership the same day, got financed in an hour and took the car that was right for me home.

Illinois Community Credit Union Dekalb Branch is absolutely the best place to take care of your financial needs. Everyone who works there is a pleasure to work with. Especially the Branch Manager Kim Morris. She is the BEST, Kim is like a second mom to me. She gives the best advice, and cares so deeply about her job and the people she works with. The customer service is a breath of fresh air. Everyone is extremely professional and super friendly. (and that is hard to find now days). I am so happy the I have the opportunity to bank here. I recommend everyone I can to bank here, trust me you won’t be disappointed!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Good and Bad comes with this bank (overall)
The good, generally the rates for cars, credit cards, and loans seem better than other places..
The Bad, you used to be able to call the bank and get the Branch you were calling. Not anymore its all routed through a call center that if you don't get someone in 2 or 3 minutes it sends it to voice mail which is inconvenient when you are on the phone with someone else and they are trying to verify information through the bank. I would have been fine being left on hold for 5 or so minutes to get the next person available instead of calling back 3 or 4 times and then being told to call back "when my bank is open" when the bank was open. I shouldn't have to leave a voicemail to "possibly" get a call back.

I enjoy banking with ICCU in DeKalb! Their superb customer service is unmatched. Each time I interact with any of the team members, I walk away extremely satisfied and impressed. From the Manager/ Kim to the Tellers, their level of professionalism and efficiency is spot on! I absolutely love banking there. I wholeheartedly recommend this place they truly work hard to take care of their members💯.

Absolutely appreciate the expertise of Kim and her staff. ICCU takes care of their members. I cannot thank them enough regarding the professionalism, care and support received anytime I visit or interact with staff. Kudos to you ICCU, you are the BEST!!! I highly recommend ICCU DeKalb if you’re looking for an entity that cares and operates in the best interest of their members.
