The staff is great. Frustrating though that banks here still run on island time for some reason. It takes me 8 days to cash a check from the mainland. I'll probably switch to an online account because of inconveniences like this

If you like slow service, and a bank that makes up rules to make it difficult to access your money, look no further. I'd rank it the worst bank I've ever been forced to deal with, even outdoing Bank of America. For example; today I tried to wire $ for a used car purchase from the FHB account to my credit Union. I can't transfer the money because they've made a rule you can't transfer more than $5k per day and limit you to $10k per 30 days. Since I wanted to move $13K that option is out. When I inquired about wiring money, they require you to be there in person. I've just moved to Washington State, so an in person transaction was not in the cards. My only option was to write a handwritten letter and Fed Ex overnight to the branch where I started the account. When I called FHB the representative who explained all the rules to me, she couldn't even reach an employee at that branch, but assured me the Branch would return my call. An hour later no call back, so I called the branch myself, and got an automated message that the wait to talk to someone would be 31 minutes. In that time I decided to write this review and share, so others might not make the same mistake. I'll be closing this account as soon as I figure out how to withdraw my money.

Super convenient location close to grocery store, post office, and my working place!!! Staffs are all friendly and kind.
