Was suppose to notarize for my son, a minor, who lost his passport due to Hurricane Ian. This Filipino guy Roger, didn’t do it saying I have to put my name, MY passport code, MY informations on the form since I am the one signing. Like what??? Did I hear that right?! My SON lost his passport NOT me, ergo, his informations are suppose to be on the form - his passport number, DOB, age etc etc. It’s his passport not mine! Plus, we told Roger this was the form the embassy emailed to me and he said the embassy made a mistake. I told Roger I did clarify with the embassy if that was the right form and Henry Boland Howard, Honorary Consul said all I need is to co-sign the form as the mother and show up with the notarized form with my child. Roger seems unknowledgeable with what he’s doing. It’s sad to see a fellow Filipino who is unwilling to comprehend a VERY simple situation and treated me and husband like we are stupid. Roger is rude and thinks he’s above anyone by the way he talks to customers.
Then we went to another Amscot in Alafaya and the woman had ZERO issue about it. She took the form read it and completely understood what the heck she’s doing. Only took us 5 min to get that done. Then, we asked the lady if what Roger did is their “protocol” as per Roger, she said, no I guess he don’t understood how documents work for minors. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!! Roger was CLUELESS! Total waste of 40 min arguing with an know-it-all unprofessional. Amscot redbug should go check on this person, looks like we are not the only ones who had to deal with his arrogance. Insane!!

The manager here has some kind of problem. I've been to other locations and never had a problem. I own a restaurant and on weekends we sometimes run out of change, so I go here. This location makes up their own rules for me...my husband has gone in an gotten help no problem...I go in and every single time the lady stops the cashier and won't allow my transaction. This is my.last time going to their loaction. It's insulting at this point.

So when you advertise that you don't charge to cash a money order, maybe you shouldn't try to charge me to cash a money order. I realize your business is to rip people off but you should at least be up front about it.

Roger was extremely rude! Never had a problem at amscot until this one. Body language and gestures was over the extreme.

HORRIBLE customer service. I walked in and the cashier motioned me to the window. She then walked away and helped another customer who came in after me, I stood at the window for 5 minutes with no assistance, no greeting or "I'll be right with you". Go elsewhere!!

I had to come in to get a cash advance. Im in the middle of moving and I was short on som cash. It’s been a few years since I last used Amscot for there services. The gentlemen by the name of manny was getting me setup & was kind. Suddenly out of no where the manger by the name of Rodger ends up taking over the process. No introduction just started asking questions. He seemed annoyed to assist me and nonchalantly would toss the papers at the window. I felt like I was being judged and nor felt welcomed. His customer service skills are very poor I’m going to a different location to pay my dues. I’d recommend going somewhere different I can’t image how the outcome would turn out if they make a mistake on their end.

I went this morning10/9/23 for notary service. It was a document for my son school. The notary saw the document and said is gonna be $10. He gave me back the document and said: "your signature and student signature. My son was not present so I sign for him. When he looked at the document he said "why did you sign for him?, That is not what I meant, now I can't not notarized the document." He said should have left the space in blank. He also said " I would it have done it just with your signature". Bad service. Never coming back to this location. You should it have explained since the beginning or either tell me my son has to be present and just to make it worse I do not have another copy. Thank you
