Very unprofessional!!!!! man in picture looked at me AFTER WAITING almost 30 minutes in western union line and dismissed me and took care of three more people whom came after me with no explanation of anything. Then came to me to argue with me and told a lie that he explained to me that there was only one person that does western union and he NEVER explained anything to me. I’ve been coming to this amscot for more than 10 years and NEVER had a bad experience until today.

I wen to amscot to send a Fax and I understand it is a service and not a product. So, why they are charging tax on service? $3 for the first page, $1 for additional page, $0.30 State CST Tax, and $0.18 local CST tax. Its not about the price, but if its right or not? Could you please explain so I can change my rating?

HORRIBLE BRANCH!!!! I Have came here bi-weekly for months, same routine, the day after I pay them back from my previous loan. This time the new employee not knowing what she was doing tried telling me, it takes 3-4 days after my most recent payment to get another loan. WRONG I am here every 2 weeks and this has never been the protocol.
Long story short, she said if I had more funds in my account, then they could give me the loan. Put the little money I had in my bank account and returned. Still denied! Stay away! If you aren't spanish they are horrible to you!

If you don’t speak Spanish, expect to helped last. They skip over you and don’t give a damn who walked in first so I left and went to another Amscot on Hillsborough Ave. Surprise, surprise ! SAME TREATMENT! You all need up-training on fair treatment of ALL customers ! If it happened on one occasion sure, maybe it’s an oversight but this is 3rd time dealing with them and it’s the same thing each time.

I went in on my lunch break to receive money through Western Union. She hands me a folder and Amscot financial form to fill out, doesn't explain what it is for, requesting all my personal info. I filled out most except my social security. She calls over the manager to explain to me why they need it, which all the manager says was because they are like a bank they need that info. I told her this isn't a bank and I'm not getting a payday loan all I'm trying to do is receive money through Western Union and if I go somewhere else they wouldn't ask for my s.s. She says then go somewhere else and walks away. REALLY, I wasn't being difficult just needed an explanation as to why I needed to fill out an Amscot form to get money through Western Union. That's their level of customer service. I didn't say no more turn around and left. The manager can't even explain why the form is needed such sensitive information for something that has nothing to do with their company directly. Horrible Customer Service!

I don’t know why these reviews are acting like this place isn’t great.
Language barriers are nothing, they do their absolute best to communicate with you and they do it well. They will bring out paper and pencil if they have to just to get it right.
America is a melting pot of people and if you can’t fathom a way to communicate with other people of different cultures, languages…that’s a you problem and not a reason to rate this place low.
Everyone deserves a job, and if you don’t like it there is another amscot down the street with even more people of different cultures :)
