Called with a few questions about a loan, the woman asked if I used online banking and I said that I do and informed her of which bank that is. She told me that was perfectly fine so I headed that way. It took me 30 minutes to get there and gas I didn’t really have, just so the SAME woman can tell me that my bank isn’t valid. Y’all need to inform your associates of what online banks can and can not be used because now I’ve wasted my time and gas. Both of which will never be reimbursed. Thanks Amscot. Always reliable.

Was very excited to get my marriage certificate application notarized after work (which for Alabama only requires a notarized signature) & Amscot as a matter of policy won't notarize them. This really affected my plans as I'm not off work during "banking hours" & had to scramble to find another evening notary. It honestly makes no sense why they can't sign that you presented an ID & signed something.

Most racist place ever. My 16 year old daughter tried to cash her first check there the rep took the check apart for her stamped it and asked her to sign it. My daughter signed the back and checked the box and wrote the date not knowing the box she checked was for mobile deposit the lady told her because she checked that box that they cant cash the check and to ask her job for a new one. It was blank so clearly it was an accident but she refused to cash a 179 dollar check. I waited 15 mins for a manager who put a X on the stamp and said here's the corporate number have a great day. I sat back and watched how they treated each white customer that walked In and each black customer while I waited for corporate to answer and it was clear as day that racism is real at this store in Ocala

Sometimes they ask for my id for my $700 money orders ..never really asked why .until today I was next to someone a white younger male who asked for money order for $1145 and they didn't ask him for ID. Yet I was asked. I'm black female. I asked why ..the lady, not knowing I heard what happened next to me, replied, "oh it goes by amount Amscot makes us." I said yea right this guy wasn't asked ..she just looked stunned. No reply. ...discrimination. not going here again .

They say they can checks but never do they do it. They question you as if they are police, they are rude, and if you even give a slight attitude back they refuse services.
