Loan officer Sonya Grubb seemed to go out of her way to make a stressful process even more stressful. Not answering questions. Ignoring questions. Giving half truth half answers and hiding behind front of the house employees . What an awful cold experience.

Condo mortgage. They ignore that they’re one of many lenders and want to be listed like they have interest in the whole building. Then send nasty letters saying the certificate of insurance isn’t filled out right, and that they’re going to charge me for even more insurance.

One of the worst banks I've ever had. They email you rudely when your account past due. They literally told another person I know that has them "Don't ignore our emails and make a payment on your account now."
They didn't offer any deferrals during COVID.
Using the drive thru still when other banks already have their lobbies open is extremely inconvenient.
I'm not saying all the staff is bad, they do have some great people.
But i'm so glad i am finally done with them, avoid this place.

Shocked at the reviews regarding Mr. Edgewood from the Auto Loan Department . He was extremely kind, professional & helpful. He answered all my emails, phone calls & questions regarding my auto loan without hesitation. I appreciate all the assistance he gave me in resolving my issue. I would definitely recommend Scient Federal Credit Union specifically based on the treatment I received from this gentleman.

Absolutely awful - stay away. Their services are limited, they limit everything you can do to retrieve money from your own account, they don't listen, they are incompetent at understanding anything. Go to a well established reputable bank to manage your finances! I honestly don't know how they are still around.. they should be shut down.

I have been a customer of Scient FCU for 5 years and financed multiple cars through them. Up until the last 6 months they were easy to work with and things flowed smoothly. I have become increasingly unhappy after they "upgraded" their systems and have ceased being a member because of it.
First, they canceled autopay for my auto loan without my permission. This caused me to miss a payment and incur a late fee, which admittedly they refunded, but I can't get back the 2+ hours of being on hold and having to talk to multiple people within banking and their collections department. They can't refund me the hours I spend... Second, they forced me to relink all of my old accounts to my new account. This was a very time-consuming and frustrating process in addition to the time I spent getting the late payment fees refunded. Third, they have a very small daily transfer limit of $5,000. This makes it very difficult to transfer money between accounts or make large purchases.
I am very disappointed with Scient FCU's recent changes. I feel like they are not customer-friendly and are making it more difficult for me to manage my finances. I am no longer a member and have switched banks to one that offers better customer service and more flexible banking policies.

So far so good, was not easy to set up payment for my loan, But customer service helped me get it done. I got a great rate and hope everything goes smoothly.
