What a drag with this company, horrible and extremely unreasonable customer service. As a Disabled Retired Army Veteran and they want to be ALL in my personal life to be able to defer a payment and run credit for no reason. I’m on fixed income due to financial hardships I was still denied without logical reason! I pay all of my bills on time I cherish my credit and due to Covid hard times, they refuse to work with me and be granted this assistance. But with these circumstances, I’m unable to do so currently without a manager to inquire pay issues. The Government pays me and we all know how difficult that is to inquire in general. After all, I would still be responsible for these payments on the back end so there was no reason for these results whatsoever. It just places me in a tougher spot to be able to provide for family. They literally were No help and harassed me with irrelevant follow up questions numerous times with information that could’ve been found on the application itself! I wouldn’t recommend their disrespectful business or practices to anybody. If there was an option for Zero stars, I would have chosen that. Be careful with this company, you might find yourself in a deeper hole than necessary. I will definitely be refinancing through a different company!

Trying to talk to someone on the phone is a never ending maze. I called about a bill they sent AFTER I already finished paying off my car loan and they sent me a bill that made no sense. So of course I wanted to call and ask what was going on. I press to speak to a representative and it’s radio silence. No hold music, no “representative will be with you shortly” it felt like I was being ignored. This is a joke and your services are a joke. Now I’m stuck with a bill I can’t even inquire about because no one can be reached. If I could put -1 star I would.

While I don’t bank here, I’ve had multiple vehicle and rv loans. Great customer service with small town feel. Seem to always have great rates over others as well.

Horrible bank. Shady practices like making you confirm a mobile transfer 3 times before you can transfer money. This bank is everything but convenient. There still living in the 90’s and charge you for every little thing they can. Customer service is appalling. You can never get ahold of anyone and if you do there the rudest and I’ll tempered people you’ve ever talked to. Idk how many more bad reviews you guys need before you retrain your customer service team or find some people who actually want the job.
They also will randomly hold your checks at the most random times. Leaving you without your money for up 3 days. The check was a measly 250$. I even had to deposit 40 in cash the same day and it STILL put a hold on the 40$. Suffice to say I didn’t have phone service for a few days.
Thanks Sierra Central, you’re a piece of junk credit union and everyone here knows it. My next paycheck I will be switching banks. I’ve put up with your unprofessional services for far too long. If I could I would give you a negative rating. The. Worst. Bank. In. Town.

This is the worst banking institution we’ve ever dealt with. We do not recommend this credit union to anyone. It is not surprising to see the low ratings posted on its reviews. I’d give them a negative star if it was possible. Do yourself a favor and don’t bank with this credit union.

I've had Sierra Central for over 1 year now, and all I can say is.. it would be nice if they took out the payment on the payment date, not 4-5 days later... makes it a real inconvenience.

I am very pleased to say that my experience with this bank over the last year has improved immensely. They have been listening to the feedback people are leaving and I want to come out and acknowledge that.
I also updated my star rating as I hope this trend of committing more to user a friendly bank that doesn't penalize you with outrageous fees. Keep up the great work, whoever you are!
