I'd recommend this bank to anyone in a heartbeat! Efficient, friendly full-service, including Notary Services! Very competive car, and home mortgage rates. Their mobile banking app is also one of the easiest to use out there,!

Sketchy bank. I opened an account here and deposited some money (not a lot, luckily) probably 5 years ago. I was told my simple checking account had no fees. I thought my money would be safe.
Today, I checked my account to find it was at $0. A $5 "inactivity" fee was charged in September and appears to have been charged consistently every month to drain my balance completely. I was never notified. I thought if I had a no fee account, my money would be safe. They took all the money I had in the account.
Stay away from this bank.

Forever thankful to our friend for recommending KeyPoint Credit Union. An unexpected plumbing leak launched us into a bath/bedroom remodel. Kelly Hargreaves walked us through the Homeowners Equity Line of Credit paperwork, set-up our account and was always available to help. The fast moving process allowed us to pay our contractors as needed and have peace of mind in an otherwise chaotic time. Many Thanks!

Very nice and friendly staff, but was severely understaffed when I went in with an hour line. It took them a month to set up my online account and sent me an envelope with an unmarked document containing only a number that is my account password in one of the strangest and most mysterious documents I have ever gotten. When I wanted to close my account it took them a week to get back to me and then another week for the girls manager to get back to me, who never got through o me and I had to call our local branch. They did everything right, and were always very friendly. It was just always slightly wonky and slow which is not the sort of business I want to be managing my money.

I've been banking with KeyCU for years. The only problem I have ever had with them was this: I took out an ATM card on my savings account when I was a minor. Several years later, at age 19, I went in to ask about debit cards and was told that I shouldn't have been given an ATM card for a minor's account, and in fact shouldn't even have had access to it for the previous 12 years. Bewildered, I (a college student, over 18, and living on my own for several months) was forced to drag my mother to the Goleta location so that she could authorise my closing the account. The person helping us with this was shocked that I had been told I couldn't access my own account, but said that we might as well make a college account anyway since it would benefit me more and I could get a debit card. I signed up for the account, and haven't had a problem since. One time I thought I had a problem, because an employee I spoke to on their online chat said I was supposed to be charged for going below my minimum balance in my savings account, but when I inquired further I found that the bank had simply decided not to charge me, and certainly wasn't going to start any time soon.
So, not necessarily the best organized money-holder, but certainly the most courteous. If they make a mistake, they more than make up for it, and I trust them with my money.
